An Original Lightning

Sunday 8/20/23 the SE Michigan Mustang Owners Club had an event at Ford World Headquarters.

All vehicles were Ford Powered, most were Mustangs, there were special areas for the Bullitt's and a Bronco Corral.

2023 is the 30th anniversary for the Ford SVT and I got a couple pics of an original Lightning.

My Lightning was powering the DJ for the event.

Those are actually second generation Lightnings. I couldn't figure out how to post a picture of one.

The second generation is definitely the iconic Lightning. At the time 380 horsepower was an insane number, especially in a truck.

A buddy of mine had one in college. We once got pulled over at 2:00am for getting sideways on a damp road while pulling out of a club, there were four of us across the front bench. Somehow no one went to jail.
