This doesn't seem right... (PAAK)

I got an email yesterday from Ford to "Reset Your Password". We’ve detected suspicious activity. Please reset your password to reactivate your account.

Ok, cool, whatever. Forgot about it and carried on all day yesterday using PAAK.

Today (Wednesday), get in my truck and push the button to start. No key. NBD, just get my phone and open Fordpass like usual, pray it connects, and be on my way. Nope. Logged out. But then... push the button on the truck... starts. App is logged out. WTF?

Does it need my app to be logged in for PAAK? I would have assumed I could log my accounts out (a la Netflix) and it would sign out all my devices, rendering my PAAK useless.

Yeah... That's what I'm realizing. And I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I am guessing that I'll need to wipe my phone then (assuming that clears the hardware handshake).

i can at least confirm that email is legit. It looked suspicious at first but i can confirm that i have the same email address in my inbox.

Allowing 3rd parties to use your credentials will get you locked every time.

Only one I can think of is the Ford Status Widget, but I haven't used it since probably late in 2022.

It was linked to my Google account, but Google changed their whateverthefuck back in June/July and Fords one software person said F updating that.

Update: Apparently after 24-48 hours, PAAK will stop working. Bug or feature? You decide.

Snap! I pray that doesn’t happen as I’m at work and my key is 250 miles away… got a new phone and had to re initiate PAAK which somehow disabled my password bypass with an error message saying I need to go to the dealer to reset it. Fingers crossed

May your key work and only your radio randomly decide to play AM stations instead of the music source you always listen to for some reason.

Missing key, but you must setup PAAK for it to work.

Sorry for my ignorance here, but I have not mastered this PAAK concept.

No currently the pop-up is only when no key is detected. There isn't a way to require password to start the vehicle. There is valet mode but that's completely different that PaaK.
