Woot. Cancellation worked out. Black XLT SR is mine! My impatient days are done and even got out from under $1500 of impulse add-ons that shouldn’t have been on my order. (Liner, tonneau, mobile charger).

Were you able to get your deposit back?
An XLT just popped up in my area that's $1800 cheaper with an additional $1200 option that I didn't order.

I did, but it was at the same dealership.

So I got my refund from the original dealer after a few phone calls. Truck is still 100-200 miles out and closing via rail and mine if I want it.

I found another local dealer that is selling an XLT SR 311a and an XLT SR 312a for less than MSRP in the same colors in addition to the $1500 incentive. Hoping to pick one of them up tomorrow...

Final choice will depend on what I get for my trade in, but the order shell game continues! Never thought I would back out of the original order but these deals are too good to be true.

I’m about to do the same thing, but these dealerships are ruthless. No deals to be had. They all try to sell me all their coatings and codings. One tried to steal my rebate. MSRP or go home. What are you getting for deals?

I think this dealer had an issue with their online pricing "double-dipping," so they were showing the $1500 customer cash plus another $1500 dealer discount below sticker (plus T/T/T). They told me that if I came in this weekend they'd honor both...

I’d recommend CarMax if you’ve got one nearby. I got $5k more at CarMax than the dealer was willing to offer.

I’d recommend CarMax if you’ve got one nearby. I got $5k more at CarMax than the dealer was willing to offer.

Yeah I keep hearing that as well but never happens to me, this is the 2nd time they were the same price as my dealer. this time for my 22 Expedition Limited so I traded it in with my dealer instead and saved me an additional $3,500 in Texas sales tax!
