On my truck I just leave the truck "ON" and consider that Dog Mode, Keep-AC ON mode and Sentry Mode...

Leaving the truck fully ON with the AC set at a comfortable temp, exit and lock the truck. If there is no key present in the vehicle I will not shift out of Park (in case someone broke in). All other systems remain on and the motion alarm is off.

If you will be gone for more than 30 min hit "Settings -> Vehicle" and flip off the "Vehicle Timeout" switch to remain on past 30 min. The 30 min timeout reactivates with each key cycle. You can set the timeout to remember the last setting with ForScan if you prefer it not reset and remain off all the time.

I installed one of those exact fit dash cams with front and rear cameras. it's powered off the review mirror so as long as the truck is ON it's taping.

I shut off AC and put the screen in quiet mode, lights to "OFF" if I just want "Sentry Mode" and no Dog or Keep..

99% of the time I find the Ford way smoother than Tesla's mode approach. I'm usually out running errands with the kids or the pup or both. I just get out and lock the truck, no extra mode to press or think about.

Yes, I do the same thing. I have a screen saved on SKETCH app and it says, "The heat is on, my dog is fine."

I bypass the countdown timer even if I'm going to be gone less than 30 minutes.

The rumor was, Ford was going to add a Pet Mode but I'm not holding my breath lol.

Yeah I wouldn't mind being able to sleep some of the other stuff like the screens etc.

The sketch app is a great idea to notify people.

It does, if it's installed (2023's and forward had it deleted).

I don't use it for the following reasons:

- For perpendicular parking, it will park next to a vehicle. I park where there are no vehicles. Therefore, it has no benefit for me.

- For parallel parking, it works well. But you have to follow the steps, and it is slower than me with the 360 degree camera. If the space is too tight, I'm not parking there anyway, because some ass is going to back into me to get out of their space, or clip me with their front end. I'll drive around the corner...
We finally tried the parking assist, which is present on the 2023 lariat. We backed in between two other vehicles. It did work, although it was a bit slow and came awfully close to the other cars, but obviously never hit anything when it finally concluded the parking, we were in the space, although not totally centered and not totally straight. It was our first effort and I think I will try it a few more times when we are not very close to another vehicle. it may turn out to be a great advantage because the limited turn radius of the truck does make it difficult to back into narrow spaces
