This is the SmartCap Evo Sport and I paid $4495+labor. I didn't know when I ordered but according to the shop, this is a new V2 with latches built into the glass instead of the horizontal panel (so more glass/light) and a more subtle branding on thd inside of the glass rather than on that horizontal fill panel as well. Here's what the older version looked like

Curious to how it helps/detracts from range?

It's fairly light (about 200 lbs) and sits essentially within the same wind profile as the cab. I suspect it will be a very minimal penalty if any at all (I think the turbulence of the open bed would be worse). I am quite certain the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires take far more of a range penalty than the canopy will, but will report my findings.

You and I must have been separated at birth... I too have a SmartCap as well as the MIckey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts!! And like you I also noticed quite a hit to my efficiency with those tires (SmartCap did not seem to have much effect though). Curious, what size did you run on the tires? I went a little wider than stock, 285/60R20 on 20x9 wheels with +20 offset.

My brother from another mother! :p

275/60R20, I think the wheels are either +10 or +20 but will have to check. Worth it for the additional grip offroad and in snow, my power is super cheap (0.04/kw) so hard to worry much about frugality lol

You, Sir, are a man of excceptional taste, if I may say. ;)

Agreed. It's only in rare cases that range is a concern for me. And of those cases it's even more rare that the amount of range I lost with these tires would have made a meaningful difference to my trip.

Definitely let us know how it works out - I am looking at one of those myself... although my area of the PNW gets less rain than yours <g>.

Well, it leaks. A LOT. I'm sure it's install related, and I can see some roll to parts of the gasket that sits on the bed sides, so I think they set it down and then slid it rather than setting it straight down. I am waiting to hear back from the shop but assume I will have to take it in sooner than later for a retry :( Almost there...
