You cannot force anything. If you're using features like Connected Navigation, then your modem is working. If you've owned it for 9 months and got no updates, then I'd contact your dealer. If it's 3 months, then you're fine. And the number you posted is for Sync, not all your modules. Go into FordPass, click on Features and Settings, then Software Updates. Recent Changes shows your last update.
same problem here. Purchased Feb 2023 last update July 2023 and no further updates ever. Just sits and I have the auto update on in my truck. Ford says go to your dealer, the dealer says I have all the updated stuff. I know for a fact that I don't. How do you convince the dealer to force the truck to update and why does everyone advise to go to the dealer. They deny having a magic wand.

The dealers are not interested in updating your software because:
A) Itcan take hours and they're (normally) not getting paid for it.
B) If it works, don't fix it. (There's always a risk associated with updating software)

But they do have the magic wand, not so much to "push" or force OTAs but they can (manually) install all the available updates for your truck and bring it back to a state where it isn't stuck in a black hole.
But - now you're back to my initial statement...

There's currently a campaign to update your Sync software ( Campaign/NHTSA#
23C38/23V801) and there was also a campaign to update the battery management/powerteain (I forget which modules it was) software for some trucks.
If you're affected by these it should bring your truck fairly close to current on the updates.

Sadly the best way of making sure you're up to date is to do it yourself, it's a $1,000 investment (between hardware/software) but at that point you're self sufficient.
Or, find someone who is willing to help.
There's a loaner list for the adapter (you still need a good power supply and the software license) or maybe someone would help you out locally. (I'm happy to do so for those located in MI)

I would be happy to volunteer for these programs, I live south of Lake Erie. Where about do you live?
Last week I had the dealer accomplish all of the recalls that there was for the Lightning. Still no Power Update since July 2023. Ford Pass said one of the update parameters is to set the emergency parking brake and to manually switch off your head lamps. Who does that in a flat garage?

There is no truck software version.
Each module in the truck has its own software.
Ford issues updates to the various modules and calls them a Power Up. Each power up is numbered like a software version but it’s just an update series number.

A technician with fords FDRS software can tell you which modules have software updates available.

There is no way to force an OTA. Only way to force updates is with FDRS software and a Mongoose cable.
