I can not make out where this is at. Is this behind the back seat? Did you have the BO factory and remove that?
This is behind the back seat on the drivers side of the truck. The bracket you see just to the left is where the seat latches back (yes the back seat will unlatch and fold forward - but you have to work a wrench or something behind the seat to unlatch it - and raise the bottom of the seat before you attempt.)

Also the ground is behind the carpeting on the back wall of the truck.

Nice...what setup did you go with?
I replaced it all - added sound deadening to the doors and used the NavTV, JL Audio Amps and sub and Focal Flax EVO speakers. Overkill, but dang it sounds nice.

I let myself get twisted around how bad the B&O product is compared to what Tesla does from the factory. So I went a bit crazy. I love it every day, but put more stupid money into a truck that loses a ton the second you drive it off the lot.

The factory speakers are very light weight paper junk, the sub doesn't even qualify once you look at it.

It all depends on what you want out of it, there are some that report a simple sub upgrade and they now love the system. Others report just replacing the cheap door speakers and tweeters with very moderately priced speakers and say they also have a huge improvement and are very happy. Truly wish I had tried that first, but then didn't want to do it two or three times.

So truly you can make simple changes, moderate or go all the way, just depends on your budget and ear.

Anyone added a sub to the factory B&O? Lots of videos on youtube doing this to the ICE model, but no detailed ones on doing a Lightning. The video below is about the closest that I have seen, but it is for an ICE truck. Seems like the only long run you need to make is for 12v battery and bass control knob if you choose. Looks like with the factory sub/amp you just tie into that with a LOC.

Is adding an amp to that 12v battery an issue since these 12v batteries are not charged with an alternator like an ICE truck?

l know everyone has different expectations, but my dissatisfaction was the bass was able to be resolved just through EQ settings. Turning the mid way down with the bass up allows you to turn up the volume and achieve what I consider to be something with decent bass. I just played around with the highs from there, and still tweak them now. But yeah, originally tried to just turn the bass up and was rather disappointed. Didn’t consider turning the mid down for about 3 months before I gave that a try.

I am not an audiophile, but I do like some bass! Been looking around at a few shops and I think I like the Alpine Halo series, as it fits nicely under seats. From talking to a few shops, it seems this would be a HUGE increase to the BO system......start there, then maybe do other speakers if needed.

Also just took a look at this powered sub woofer today. Not sure this would make that big of difference compared to stock

Most of the dealers have a return policy so I wonder if it is worth trying a smaller box then upgrading if I do not like.

Tbh, me sitting in your back seat banging on an empty gallon of milk to the beat of the music will be an improvement over stock. If you are not an audiophile, then this will make a huge difference. JL makes very good products.

Could you please share a picture of the EQ settings you ended up with?
