What's annoying is that Ford is already conservative with the charging curve, especially on trucks with the Max Towing package which adds extra battery cooling capacity. Rivian is more aggressive on charging curve and their battery cooling capabilities are less. Assuming internal high voltage cabling is appropriately sized, it's likely Ford could maintain peak 500A DCFC rates for much longer durations, significantly improving the DCFC curve. Tesla does nearly 700A on their 400V class vehicles as another comparison. It could be conservative nanny software altering the charging curve in an attempt to limit warranty claims. Toyota did something similar with BusyForx. Maybe they reduced the buffer in the HVB?
