Here's hoping this is just a super conservative estimate and everyone under order number ~20,000 gets it like, May or so at the latest...

Kyle and his first use of the adapter:

Ford needs to issue an update to display REAL charging stats. Stop giving me time/range estimates and display KWH charge rates PLEASE!

On other public chargers like from EA, you can see it on the charger display. With tesla chargers this is a must.

EDIT: I know its in fordpass, or with an ODB reader. But just put it on the damn display in the truck.

Kyle charges with the adaptor
So, after the site was down this morning, they are already estimating June delivery for one ordered about 30 min ago...Odd that they did not have enough already produced. This does not bode well for the others coming after this.

Government is there to protect the status quo and slow innovation that threatens the status quo.
At the risk of side tracking this thread, I have to say that your statement is wrong on so many levels. To prevent a diatribe I’ll just state that our government reflects the conflicting interests of the population. I do also have to say though that the EV revolution we are in was started by and is being perpetuated by the government.

I assume the charge curve will behave the same? Initial peaks in the 160/170s and then taper down to 120 till about 80 % and then 50/60s from then on?

Thought I was the only one who finds this, out of sorts... They really delayed this big time, and are acting like they didn't

What’s very frustrating as it’s already data that they have - they just need to make it visible on that charging screen in the binnacle… should be a very easy software update.

They know how many vehicles are in the field. They could have had 25% on hand before opening the order banks, no?
Rough estimate is they have sold about 140,000 mach e and lightnings to date. Clearly they have made some adapters, because we have seen them and they have tested them. Maybe they do even already have a batch ready to ship...we don't know either way at tis point. My confirmation says shipping BY April...an optimist could take that to mean they could start shipping tomorrow...not saying I think that, though.

They also acted like the timing was planned to get everything prepared, but apparently they didn't. The requests should not be a surprise, they knew their current base. It is also concerning as there are only about 150k Lightnings and Mach-E on the road...
