Ford did just exactly what Farley said he would do, free adapter
When the free adapter is available the free upgrades to the software should be OTA installed

So now some are upset with Ford, because their OTA software isn't installed so they can use their knockoff adapter ...

I may be wrong but is the SW update necessary? I believe it can be activated with the Tesla app? Understanding the P&C is unavailable until vehicle SW is updated tho

If you bypass opening the Tesla app and simply rely on Plug & Charge will the ultimate bill reflect your enrollment in the Tesla Supercharging Membership and be charged a lower rate?

No, P&C transactions will not have the Tesla membership discount.

It should work, if you're at one the V3/4 Superchargers designated Non-Tesla charging.

What do you think “early early” means? First 2 or 3 orders? Mine says “ship by April” so naturally it’ll arrive while I’m on a road trip the last week of March.

According to Ford you can visually identify a version 3 or 4 Supercharger by looking at the ring on the charging cable which is located just below the NACS connector. If its black you can charge there if its silver your out of luck. Here is the reference picture and a link to it on the Ford.ca site.
