Charging prices at Tesla chargers using NACS adapter?

I have not seen that anywhere. Do have a source for that?
People are getting confused.

If you own a Tesla, you pay $X. Let's call that $1.00.

If you own a non-Tesla, pay $1.33, 33% more.

If you pay $12.99 with your non-Tesla to become a member, you get a 25% discount to the Tesla rate. $1.33 x .75 = $1.00.

Telsa owners don't pay anything to get the lower rate.

So what will be your charging routine?
I also have 2 local superchargers that are cheaper than my $0.33 at home. I only charge once a week for work, I'll probably use Tesla every other week as to not use supercharger every week for battery health. My 2 locals superchargers are $0.20 and $0.27 but this is before 4am which is on my way to work at 5am next to Starbucks.
Wow, your home electricity and Tesla charging prices are quite nice!

My home electricity is $0.63/kWh during peak times (not including transmission / fees) when I need to charge.

So I plan on charging at Tesla SC every week so 4 times a week which pays off the membership and then the discount makes it even more alluring.

Ok you win for the highest home charging cost.. That's crazy, and I thought mine was high.
I used to pay $0.14 just 3 years ago.

Here's an illustration of driving and charging (note that temps matter, so if you plan a trip in ABRP using 2/1/xx, you get less range than if you plan it on 7/1/xx):

On 7/1/24:

Leave my house with 100%. Drive 227 miles to a Tesla charger and charge from 16 to 80% - Stop 1.
Note - this is too far other times of the year, I'd stop sooner, but it shows the point.
171 miles to a Tesla charger, and charge from 10 to 86% - Stop 2.
Drive 183 miles to the next Tesla charger, and charge from 10 to 86% - Stop 3.
Drive 179 miles and charge at a hotel overnight, or worse case at a Tesla charger.

It's now 9:33PM with a time change (lost an hour). Drove 760 miles, which is way more than I want to do in a day, and only charged 3 times, 4 if you can't find hotel charging overnight.

11 1/2 hrs driving, 2 1/2 hrs charging (not counting final destination).

The only reason to charge more than 4 times is if the spacing of the chargers is too close, or you're a maniac with driving. And then you can intersperse Tesla and EA.

I hadn’t realized there was a two tiered system outside of the member/nonmember scenario.

And still many of the Tesla owners resent us. Gees!

The only reason to charge more than 4 times is if the spacing of the chargers is too close, or you're a maniac with driving. And then you can intersperse Tesla and EA.
I agree that it would be rare if ever to need more than 5 times of supercharging however keep in mind your experience is with an extended battery. A standard battery can make one more nervous about spacing of the chargers. And if you don't want to pay membership to several providers and have only Tesla membership, that may push you to avoid charging at EA and try to have more supercharger stops than a none member would. None of this is from actual personal experience, just saying there are other factors that could push the numbers higher for some.


If your EV is identified in the handshake before charging, abuse of the system to use one membership to draw more energy than you could with 5 supercharging sessions for any other reasons than charging your car should be very difficult. I wonder why Tesla has this limit.

I can't find the video that was posted on here, but after the guy charged his Lightning, he had some relative show up with their Tesla and compared prices to charge them. This is the screen grab I took.

They had about 40 chargers last time I was on my way to Vegas, also had about 40 more in the same location being setup. The Tesla app doesn't show that we can charge there. What the heck, this should be a no brainer location for non Tesla. I know it has been reported that some locations not listed did work so I wondering if this is one of them.

Wow. Looks like Solar or wind generation would have a very reasonable ROI for you.

Because that Tesla Mega Supercharger location has a mix of V2 and V3, they won't open for us to prevent confusion.
