I met up with someone who had one of the Ford prototypes last week and he had tried the V3 in Halifax, NC and was not able to charge with P&C or through the Tesla app. We met at a Cary, NC V3 and he charged there with both P&C and the app.
So even it is a V3, the Tesla software has to be updated to work with our Ford ?
My understanding is that there is a communication board that has to be replaced in the V3s before it is fully compatible with CCS. Tesla has been upgrading sites and I expect more of them will be added in the next few months. It is surprising that some sites that were just built recently aren’t open to Ford yet. There is another site in Blacksburg, VA that has been open for less than two weeks and it’s not on the list.
I actually just checked and the Halifax site was added sometime since last Saturday so they’re making progress.
