Curious if anyone has swapped out tow hooks. I’m looking at adding these oem blue ones (part number M18954F15B, picture attached) Most sites seem to suggest they will fit, but I did see a site suggesting the lightning tow hooks are different than the ICE f-150s. Took one of my tow hooks off and the part number is NL38-17A954-EA. WLyle love to hear real world experience on this.

If you lookup that part number, it is Lightning-specific.

With Ford, it’s tough to say though. I have the ICE bed extender, tonneau , power extendable tow mirrors, and trailer camera, TPMs system..alll of which supposedly were not compatible with the Lightning.

Every now and then it’s worth a shot if you want it bad enough.

For $135 though and with the old ones removed. I’d probably just have them powder coated or paint them myself and reinstall them…

I considered these but fear it may look like i put a piece of silicone over my tow hooks. Anyone have real world experience with these regarding how the look?
My buddy put them together n his Rivian. I know it’s different but they look great!

Had some amber (orange) ones on my carbon grey and I liked the look fine. From any sort of distance other than up close really couldn't tell they weren't just painted tow hooks. But I ended up swapping the hooks out for shackle mounts and put some moose knuckles on recently.

To circle back and kind of wrap up my tow hook question, I installed the ford blue hooks today (the actual hooks, not the silicone covers) and am quite pleased with the look. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread, much appreciated.

<- Yup. On the one hand, they are expensive for a couple pieces of silicone. On the other hand, the factory hooks look anemic as all hell, painted or not. These fatten them up, make them the color you want, and don't look like a piece of silicon, they are molded into shape and hold that form well. I like them on mine but feel like $29.99 would be more reasonable than the $50ish I seem to recall paying. I give em 4/5 stars with the missing star being price/value.
My profile pic is with them on.
