Hey guys....
Hit frunk release this morning and it released the first latch (so now it's loose and says "frunk ajar") but cannot get it to open or close again.
Pressing the key fob does nothing. The button on the trunk will try and lift it , but it gets caught by the latch and stops - the button in the cab does the same thing. I have pulled and pulled on the red manual release handle - to the point I'm worried I'll break the strap or the cable. Nada
I haven't tried to drive it because it doesn't seem like a great idea, but there are no error messages (just the "frunk ajar" message).
I've read a lot on here about folks having some issues with the frunk and getting malfunction errors and needing to reset it using the emergency release, but as far as I can tell, everyone has been able to get it opened eventually using the manual release. I cant get it to open so that I can perform the reset procedure!
Any ideas? Id really really like to not have to get it towed to the dealer. I assume Ford will cover the tow as part of warranty work, but waiting hours for a tow in the morning will mess my work day up pretty well.
