Every version of the FordPass app I've installed through the iOS App Store and App Store offered updates.
I was trying to determine if you were one of select few who were holding out, refusing to update from the V4/beta5 to the "production" version of Ford Pass 5.0.x and lose certain features.

So I fired up FP v5.02 to "Send a Lock Command" and saw the following (I've checked for App Storre updates several times today and saw none. As of right now, the App Store on my iPhone says that there are none, including for FordPass. Go figure...:

This is what I was complaining about earlier as well. I was already on 5.X, so it was very confusing. Clearing cache didn't work, I tried a force stop next and that did work. I'm an android user so this bug seems to be hitting everyone.

My morning constitutional includes a Force Stop of FordPass just for kicks and giggles.

Same thing happened to me last night. I'm on 5.0.2 (IOS), FP said there was an update, but no update available in Apple App store.

I may have missed it in this monster thread, but did we figure out how to precondition the battery on a parked truck using FP (now that they replaced "Start" with "Climate")?

Just like before, be plugged in and schedule a departure time.

I presume it's another glitch in the new FordPass but I've noticed on several occasions in playing around with remote climate control and departure times (not sure which is the culprit) that the next time I start the truck in person in my garage, the driver's seat cooling will come on. For a while, I couldn't figure out why a compressor was whirring like crazy until I noticed I was inadvertently cooling my seat (didn't touch that area of the SYNC screen at all).

FordPass should forget remote climate control settings when you manually start the truck in person after any previous complete shutdown. My ignorance may be showing and correlation is not necessarily causation but the seat cooling has only happened for me with FP 5.x after playing around through FordPass with climate control and departure times. The seat cooling coming on with me in the truck had nothing to do with the Saturday departure time I set and deleted (wrong day and wrong time).

Try making sure it's switched off in the APP control panel, my experience is that the APP remembers last usage settings, now that warm season is upon us I am using the seat coolers daily, but one time I inadvertently turned on the seat warmer for a chilly morning, the next day the seat warm status was remembered and subsequent remote start had them warming up on a hot day.

When using remote start, take a peek at the climate settings and confirm what you need.

Below-left is my normal hot weather setup, but if I didn't need the seat warmer the snap shot to the below-right is how it should be set.

In winter operation, I'll switch on the heated wheel and seats, I look forward to trying the window defroster switch.

I noticed a glitch after remote starting my truck this morning, the climate settings panel would not display, {many folks have previously commented about this fluke} resolution, FORCE STOP the APP then start app again, the climate settings panel appeared after the restart.

I've experienced this as well with the release of FP 5.x. I've never intentionally enabled seat cooling (not in the app when cabin-conditioning and not in the truck when I get in). But at least twice, I've gotten in, pressed Start and the seat cooling engages. The very first time, since I'd never used it, I couldn't figure out what the noise was.
