Issue with driver display "my view" resetting frequently.

I have been having issues with the information display settings reverting to factory randomly throughout the week. It has happend over the course of ownership, sometimes with OTA updates and then also randomly two or three days in a row when I'm out and about. Not plugged in and charging.

At first I thought it was updates but now I'm thinking it's a glitch.

The symptoms are EV brake coach is enabled again, my trip 2, pitch and roll, power distribution options get unchecked.

Has anyone else experienced this? Am I maybe doing something to cause this?

I also was thinking it was OTA related but it seems very random. I had not posted about it because I wanted to see if there was some pattern to it happening first. I have a 2023 Lariat ER with the latest sync available for it.

It's update related.

Anytime a module gets the update and resets it resets the IC

It will stabilize once it's done updating.

I too have my information display behave strangely, then fix itself (more than once). Parking assist features just turn themselves back on occasionally. The speed limit sign recognition has an attitude that it decides to just start doing stuff I did not ask for, ever.

In contrast, everything controlled by a button works.

I've started calling it the Voodoo Truck.

My guess is that once the update package is delivered, the modules are updated one by one with most of them not requiring any downtime but resetting once finished. I have seen this behaviour for a day or 2 and then it will randomly give me the update complete message.

I keep MyView set to show the current trip statistics. Sometimes, randomly, it will show the menu instead. And this is independent of updates. I've had it happen weeks after the last update. I don't know if it has anything to do with charging or anything else. I haven't paid enough attention to other variables besides updates.

I experience this same behavior in my ‘23 Pro.

I have had this happen a few times on the 24' Flash as well. I thought it was an update at first but confirmed with FDRS truck was up to date.
Must be some other bug or glitch, I see the ICE F150s have it as well.

Mine decides its should be in "Calm View" sometimes on startup. I assume its trying to tell me something but its backfiring...

I've had the same thing happening. Sometimes my truck would decide to switch to calm screen when it was started. I went into the menu and de-selected calm screen to take it out of rotation. Now it randomly switches to tire pressure, which is the next screen that is selected in the list. I found this tread, hoping someone had an answer, but it doesn't look like it. It's just annoying and not critical so I doubt it will get much attention from Ford. Good to know that I'm not alone though, I guess...

I've seen this after updates and after resetting the IPMA using Forscan. My guess is the My View resets to default any time the IPMA is reset. If that's true the obvious next question is, why is the IPMA resetting? Updates and user initiated resets make sense. Other resets probably require a bit more research. Crowd sourcing here might generate an answer.
