How do I override the default 90% fast charging limit on the Lightning? I didn't see anything obvious in the owner's manual and searching posts here didn't yield anything meaningful.

If you're referring to the One Time charge limiter, it's fixed and mostly used for DCFC sessions, you have to use the slider to adjust to your prefered value each session.

Thanks for the response, but what slider are you referring to?

During an active charging session, you should be able to adjust it IIRC (not in the truck or at a charging station) there should be adjustment icons {arrows L/R to move the stop point}

Updated with snap shots:

After the subsequent charging session has reached goal point it should revert to 90%

I'm wondering what you're looking at when you say "limit"? Do you not see the charge limit slider on your app? If you move the slider one way or the other the limit goes up or down. I feel like i'm being overbasic though. What exactly are you talking about?

Where? What screen? The gauge cluster only shows the current SoC and the Fast Charge rate in the upper right corner. The center screen doesn't expose any options I could find to adjust SoC limit cap.

The truck shows right in the gauge cluster that it will stop charging at 90% when DCFC. I can't find any way to override or change this anywhere. Not in the infotainment system, not in the FordPass app. Or I am too stupid to see it... :crackup:

Next time you plug into the charger, take a screenshot of the front page of your app where it says your truck is charging. I wonder if you're on a unique cocktail of software versions between phone and truck that makes you see different things than most of us see?

Which trim do you have? Pro/Xlt or Lariat/Platinum?

Fixed and I have a 2024 Flash.

I will look at the charging app next time I DCFC, which I am expecting to do later today. Thank you for the response!

I will do this later today and get back to everyone.

One difference apparently 2024s got is showing the real-time charge rate in the upper-right of the IPC screen. Also, my IPC shows the SoC on the left side charge status indicator, which some have and some do not have.

The easiest way (for me) is to set the one-time charge limit in the truck using the Charging app. It can also be done with the Fordpass phone app.

Setting the one-time limit applies to the next or current charging session. Once that session is done it reverts back.

The truck defaults to 90% for DCFC, the only way to override this is setting one-time limits. For Level 2 charging, it defaults to 100%, but you can set a location and and lower limit for that location. The one-time limit can be used to override that. For example at home I set the limit to 80%. When I'm going on a trip, I manually set the one-time limit to 100%.
