Console Safe Vault & Accessories Review

First and foremost- I did not know the seats reclines so far. What a nice feature- I must have been under a rock when it was discussed

With that being said, it took me all of 10 minutes to install a console safe. I went with Console Vault. I also added their Elite Lock and Lodestar interior led

Easy install- you need 11 & 13 mm short 1/4 drive socket, a ratchet and a 1/4 manual driver (directions call for fractional but I am not going into the garage for them and went with metric). Don’t get fancy like me and struggle- after installing 3 of the 4 bolts with the driver…….yep should have used the ratchet. The hardest one went in the easiest.

Anyone who doesn’t like to turn wrenches- next to floor mats or a screen protector- this is probably the best, easiest, and usable mod for the interior.

Not the only safe maker in the game- but the quality is stellar. Easy, diy install, and you can still use the internal USB. No idea that was even there.

Only negative is the tray doesn’t fit. Big positive is the safe lid props up the arm rest so it doesn’t close and piss you off for the 1000 time.

***instructions say to remove the rubber mat on the bottom***

Helps with install because you can slide it around to align.

And @BestEvMod makes a really nice drop-in Tray that is compatible with the vault. I worked with them when they were prototyping it to make sure it would accommodate all of the lock models, including the Elite lock, which is what I have (same as yours).

Yup. A little bit of obfuscation. And the tray is so well made that it just looks factory.

You will get plenty of practice saying "Here honey, hold this" when getting your pew pew out of the vault.

This cracked me up because that is exactly how it goes. Love my Console Vault, and tray. I am thinking of adding a Kwick Strike too.

I had never seen that one. It's certainly clever, but my ass is way too big to accommodate such a device.

With that said, I pretty much always have my pew holstered anyway. The only reason I even have the vault is for when I have to go into somewhere that pews are forbidden *by law* (not just policy of some store/casino....those can be lawfully disregarded here).

In NV, that's a fairly short list. Schools, Federal buildings, etc.

I assume you are talking about the Console Vault. I ordered directly from their website.

You should visit their site directly. They have different lock options. This is for the Ford F150 2022-2024 full floor center console, they have 4 different lock options so that alone requires you to determine which works best for you

Works with OEM tray as shown. I don't have a cool obfuscation top though, so I usually just keep a set of Arby's coupons that I get in the mail folded in half and laid over the top.

Just to be clear for anyone researching in the future- the original, full-size vault mentioned in this thread is manufactured by Console Vault.

This half-size is manufacture by B&V. So the accessories for the original vault will not work- i.e. the led light or the different style lock. Additionally, the full size is cheaper by about $40.
