Hey @Discount Tire how’s the stock looking for these? I just rolled over 40k on my stock tires and something tells me it’s time for a new set…

Yeah, that’s what the mechanic said too but with 40k on the original tires and winter coming I’d rather throw the money towards the new tires.

Good news, my local shop was able to get some of the Toyos overnight! I’ll post updates about them later.

No one has been able to order P-metric yet? I think I did see somewhere they won't be available until the end of this year though.

The only place I see that I can order is Tire Rack. I call the @Discount Tire toll free number and they can’t locate the tire. They passed my information along to the local store who is going to call me back once they know more.

Update: The local store called me back, and he is a EV owner. They can special order. Toyo only made 500 sets to start with and there only around 80 left in the US today.

Damn, I was lucky! Walked into a local shop, had the tires delivered the next day before 8am.

The A/T III EV are $404 at every place I see advertise them. I still haven't bit the bullet on these yet. Seems inventory is getting low, wonder how long before they put put a second batch.

I ended up getting the 275/55 instead of the 275/60. Saved $200 on the tires and in the stupid city garage I need to park in at work it rubbed slightly going up the ramp and the smaller tires should fix that. Basically I lost less than 1/2” in height. I did need to adjust the speedometer with FDRS which seemed to go fine. Only a couple of hundred miles and the ride is fine but efficiency seems to have taken a significant hit. I need more miles of mixed driving to confirm but it has me worried. It could be as much as 15%, which is a ton more than I expected.

I wonder if the efficiency reading is off from the different tire size? The other report on efficiency I recall said they would put it between 5-10% I think. I've also been told that A/T tires need a few 1000 miles to break them in. Perhaps the efficiency will be wonky until that point? I'm just thinking out loud as I am not super knowledgeable in this area.

I hope you are right. I had them inflate to 56 lbs which I assumed would provide better efficiency (albeit a little rough of a ride). I might bump it down to 52 which was mentioned in the thread as potentially optimal to see what that does to ride quality and efficiency. I wouldn't think that a 1" change in diameter would cause a massive change in efficiency but maybe I am wrong in assuming that. Time will tell.

Have the same tires and run them at 45PSI but I have 275/60, they will ride a lot better.

Well, I finally decided to take the plunge and splurge. Called my local Discount and they sourced a set that should be in around Oct 18th. Tires, tax, and Discount certificates has me out the door around $1800. A bit more than I anticipated for tires but I'm looking forward to checking them out. Hopefully they last longer than the stock Grabbers. I don't mind paying the premium for good tires if they deliver.

Is the different size you bought still the AT3 EV version or the standard AT3? I wasn't aware they made other sizes in the EV version yet?

Yes, they are EV. Toyo now list three sizes as currently in production but these I could find only at simpletire.com
