Software updates - Check Now Button

I've received 6.8 and 6.14 in the past 30 days. Thought there used to be a Check Now button on the software updates page, but don't see it anymore. Am I nuts and it was never there? Did an update remove it? Thanks

I no longer have the Check Now for Updates either. I'm sure it was there before.

‘22 Lariat with 6.14 and this release. Still have the grayed out Update Now button.

That button has always been useless though unless you have a SW update that needs downtime to install. Most do not.

The check process executes when you click Software Updates from the prior menu Vehicle, you'll notice it cycling, I assume it's communicating with the mother ship, then it settles on a status report of the last successful install with grayed out Update Now button.

Mine has always had a "Check for Updates" button on the Software Updates screen. (Haven't checked for its existence in the last few days though, to be honest.) However it never did actually check for updates. It retrieved information about the most recent completed update. From what I could see.

There is no way to force the truck to poll for updates. This has been a source of frustration for owners since day one, I think.

Every time you open the SW updates screen mine polls for updates. It isn't a magic button to push, but if I navigate to another screen and come back to SW Updates, it tells me it is checking. I don't know that I truly believe it, but that is what it tells me. So somedays I check that screen 3 or 4 times just to make it try. .

Same. I used these steps and did have the system pull a SW update one time, but that was about 18 months ago. No joy since then, though I still try every so often

All I'm saying is, don't get your hopes up. Anything we do on the truck side is the equivalent of asking "are we there yet?" Until the mother ship decides your truck is eligible for an update, you will not receive an update.
