Hello all

Looking to get my truck up on a 2 post lift. There is rent-a-bay garage near me, and they will put the truck on the lift for me (liability reasons I'm sure).

My concern is that I believe the lightning f/r weight balance is much different than the gas trucks. The lifts have a graphic on them, that they go by, showing how far forward to pull the vehicle by a reference point on the floor. My concern is that by going by the default "truck under WB X" guidance, too much weight will end up on the rear of the lift.

If anyone has put these trucks on a 2 post themselves, how much does it differ from the ICE verson? To clarify, I understand where the jack points are on the frame: I'm referring to placement of the truck forward and back to achieve safe balance.

If I'm worrying about a whole lot of nothing, feel free to make fun of me below. Thanks

I don’t know for sure, but there are 4 distinct jack points. I can’t imagine anything other than using them would work. Their location is shown in the manual.

I'm not suggesting the use of alternative jack points. The arms of the 2 post can extend and swivel, allowing you to reach the jack points with the truck pulled in almost any which-way

Just a matter of how far forward or back to pull the truck, before extending the arms to the manual prescribed jack points

One of the defining characteristics of EVs, including our Lightnings, is their near-perfect F/R weight distribution, thanks to the mass and location of the battery pack, and the relatively lightweight drivetrain components (also a very low center of gravity!).

I can't say I've noticed much difference in the handling department vs my 2022 gasser f-150, but it certainly bounces the bed around less on washboard dirt roads. This may also be a function of independent rear suspension

This certainly confirms the wright distribution!

I'm no physicist but I take it to mean then that on a 2 post lift, the posts should be perfectly centered between the axles?
I'd say park the truck with center point between axles in line with posts, then position the lift arms so they land at the Ford designated lift points.
