My dealer offered the 100k/7 year $0 deductible for 3k, its about double what the plan cost, but I paid it anyway, piece of mine and they deserve to make something for helping me buy the truck before it even arrives.
Honestly I would have been ok with some sort of mark up. I could see they were hurting with very few cars on the lot and I saw only 1 other customer. But almost 8x the true price is a bit much.

Agree, anything North of that 3k I would have passed on.

Dealers are making a 10% profit on your truck at MSRP if they follow all the guidelines, no point in giving the finance manager his piece of flesh.

What is that based on? I would love to have that info in my back pocket if the finance person tries to hit me with a sob story. When I went in a couple of weeks ago and talked to my sales person, he re-confirmed no ADM and said that the dealership is making "đź‘Ś" zero dollars on my truck... Made it sound like he's only doing this sale because he thinks EVs are cool...Is this for real or just a tactic?

You can tell them that you KNOW that's a load of s*&t. Dealers don't do ANYTHING because they think things are cool, they are in business to make money.

I'm taking premiumcare 8/150, Electric Premium Maint 8/150 and triplecare (tire/dent/glass) 8/unlimited. I get them all at cost. I wanted bearings covered as well as all the tech and lighting, heating/cooling elements. The coverage also includes all my roadside, pickup/delivery, loaner, and most importantly, key replacement (my wife loses keys like it's her job). It won't take long to get my value out of a $3330 warranty. The maint plan will cover shocks/struts, that alone provides ROI and the triple care+, well for $500, get windshield, dent and wheel/tire INCLUDING cosmetic damage to wheels (wife curbs them)

Go work at a dealership?? The rates posted for that dealer that offers them online is $5 over cost if those figures are correct. My 2nd PRO came in yesterday, I'm having the guys do a deep dive to make sure I'm not getting any electrical issues or anything before I sign off.

I just thought of something... be sure you purchase the Interior/Exterior Lighting along with it. If you don't, our lights are not covered from what I remember.

Thank you to the posters here who recommended this. I know a few people who run companies selling plans (NOT the ones calling you, don't worry!) and they have all told me that the Flood Ford pricing is absolutely the best deal you'll ever get on a plan.

Given how many LED's had to be replaced in my Teslas over the years, I absolutely recommend getting the lighting covered. I'd be willing to bet that in 5 years, that light bar on the front of most trucks will have segments burned out.

I went with 8/100, lighting, key fob, and rental upgrade.

I was “actually” (for once) reading the FordProtect brochure. I had not seen it called out in any of the warranty threads, “The vehicle battery comes with an 8-year/100,000 mile manufacturer warranty and is not covered under any FordProtect Plan.”

That's right. A load of :poop:. I can't believe there are dealers still selling that line of $0 profit and that they are just in it for the public good. This is easy money for them. It seems like we do the ordering, research, communication, tracking, and follow-through. Don't feel sorry for them.

My dealer acknowledged their margin on their Lightning sales…he says they have almost zero margin on the Bronco Which is what driving them to add an ADM on those were they can…..

The battery has is its own warranty. I wish I could get a extended warranty for the battery too, but I guess that’s a pipe dream at this point.
