Still working on the details! Unfortunately I was shipped incompatible parts so I am in the waiting game on replacements.
Checking to see if there has been any progress? I would like to give you some money 😉

Sadly no  I am waiting on a lightning to become available for prototyping and it is not available yet for me to use. Due to some varied reports i've seen, I need to dig further into the truck to ensure our beta will be safe for release

If anyone wants to disable the frunk beeping, and not throw a code just cut the wires internal on the speaker. To pry the cover off just use a screw driver and bend the plastic. I couldn't get the tabs to release without almost stabbing myself.

The entire truck beeps too much. Frunk, tailgate, backing up, and every time you turn it on. EVs are supposed to be quiet!
the stupid alien noise and backup beeper can be turned off very easily in forscan. I did that before i left the dealer where i bought it lol.

fuck bro thats genius! as we can see it still leaves that little resistor intact. I was thinking of just wrapping it with some electrical tape to muffle it but this is not a bad idea. I reached out to the megaohm dude as I live quite close to him to see if he wanted to use my truck as a tester if he could get something working for this but never heard from him. but this is pretty solid.

I wrapped mine in several layers of electrical tape and pieces of rubber and only got it down to volume a little less than you'd expect from a liftgate beeper. To me it's the right volume, not obnoxiously loud, and not muffled or quiet such that you think something's wrong with it.

It's safe to say it's impossible to wrap it with something and expect it to be silent.

Thanks for all of the info in this thread!

I disassembled the speaker and stuffed it with some packing foam, then reassembled and plugged it back into the harness. It is basically silent now with just the faintest of beeping audible if you concentrate, and no error codes. Now that it's quiet, I realize how much I hated that beeping.

Another bonus of this mod is that now I'm a little more familiar with disassembling the funk. Getting myself ready to do the adaptive cruise addition to my Pro.

You can just remove the ground and it will work. I pulled the ground wire from the connector rather than cut it in case I need to solder it back one day for some reason. Here are the pics from mine back in April and I haven't had any issues with errors like I previously did with it completely removed.

Removed my frunk tub today and found it is a bit different than what others have posted.

The support bar was not bonded to the frunk as stated. I did not need to remove the two bolts on each side of the outside of tub (even though I did). This likely makes it easier to remove /install since you don't have the weight of the support bar when lifting the frunk tub and 4 less bolts to mess with.

Not sure if this is true for all 2023 models or not.

As you can see in photo the support bar is still in place after the tub removed. Other videos/photos, posted show the support bar coming out with the tub.

Something to note if you ever have to remove your frunk tub.
