I assume your truck is on the IPMA software it came with from factory? The newer software improves all driver assist functions significantly. Unfortunately, it is not being sent out OTA. It can be only be installed via FDRS.
How would I know, or how would I check whether I need the new software?

On the Ford Pass App, go to the Service option. Right below your mileage should be the text “Customer Satisfaction Program”. Click on that and you should get a message describing any CSPs for your truck.

Folks - I am puzzled that my lane centering function tends to place the truck slightly to the right of center (i.e., closer to the right side of the lane than to the left side). I thought it was just the normal parallax - a result of my eyes being on the left side of the truck. Or maybe I’d just gotten used to driving off-center to the left for 50 years. But I’ve asked front seat passengers for their impressions and they match mine. Is this a thing? Do others have the same experience? If it is real, is there a way to adjust? Thank you for your thoughts.
Good morning, If you’d like additional assistance regarding the lane sensing concern, feel free to send us a private message with your VIN and local Ford dealer. Thank you!

Funny, I feel I have the opposite problem. I've always tended to bias my lane centering to the right (assuming right lane, beside breakdown lane). Always figured it gives me just that much more reaction time if something happens in the lane to my left. However, when I turn on lane centering, I find it's biased to the left, seemingly almost on the lane markers.

FWIW, mine also insists on turning on the lane centering when I engage the cruise control.

I have found the lane centering/BC is slightly better than before the update. It now Justus on when passing by several exits that it had previously consistently been dropping at. It also has less back and forth in it going straight.

How do we know if there is an FDRS update?

Message me the VIN and I can check. Your truck is a 2024, so it should shipped with the newer version already.

I think I'm probably covered...I just bought the truck last week. I meant more in general. Does Ford message or email us when there is an update pending?

Thanks...but when I go to my Ford Pass app>Service I don't see a customer satisfaction link. Right below my mileage is a Tire Pressure Diagram.

I know you're new here, so I'll do my best to explain. "Pending update" is a relative term. The answer to your question is no....you will not get notified if a module has a pending update for your truck.

However, you will (or should) get notified if an actual update is being sent to your truck. You will be notified in your touchscreen or via the Fordpass app or both.

Vehicles are not like phones or computers. Just because there is an update pending, you can't force the update to download and install. You'd have to wait for the server to send you the update, and there is no way of knowing when that will happen nor is there is a way to force an OTA to be sent to you.

Well, huh. Maybe your vehicle doesn’t need the fix. That would be good news.

Thanks so much...I have already seen an OTA, even though I've only had the truck a week. I wondered about the FDRS updates.
