KW showing on dash

So I just watched a video State of Charge (Tom) just released about charging plugs and melting etc. he went to a guys house to help him out. The guy had a 24 flash. He showed plugged in at home and on the cluster of the flash in the top right corner it showed the actual KW going in. I have a 23 lariat. I don’t have that. I’m up to date as I have a yearly fdrs subscription. I’m assuming this is just on 24’s? Wonder if ford will roll this out to 22 and 23’s?

Sure. Right after they replace our defective adapters and give us BC 1.4.

That's an enhancement on all 2024 trims, I don't know if it's coming to earlier generations, but for now I'd like the higher priority promises fulfilled

Oh for sure me too. Just seems like an easy update they could bundle with something. I’m really going out on a limb that wouldn’t be cool if they made it so under charging you could adjust the amps draw. I’d like that.

There are probably some new animations for BC1.4 so maybe there will be an IPC update coming soon.

2022-23 may not be getting this. @rugedraw had an interesting post that said the 24’s instrument panel is now controlled by the APIM. Allows them to get the BC lane change animation.

Wonder if it might also control the charge display. And maybe future CarPlay enhancements that promise to take over the IPC. Could be 2024+ only ??

OTOH, they were able to give up SOC so may still be possible, just depends if they decide to.

Well I have a 24 flash and a 23 pro.
I now have karaoke that is useless to me and most other drivers.

Spent an hour on the phone yesterday speaking to several different ford departments.
BC 1.4 is in the clould and will install when all the stars align. I told the rep it never rains in Los Angeles and we can't see stars. Other than making her laugh, nothing she could update me with.

But I did find out from another dept, that my Pro, May reservation of my charge adapter is shipping in the third batch of December. Which I assume is the 3rd week of this month. My Flash September reservation should be January. He made it sound like they have plenty of inventory. Now that's something to sing about.

It cannot be done with FORScan. They would need to add the EPROM images to the software itself. You cannot enable what isn't there. I have looked into this already with the gurus. Same thing with the charge percentage for the HVB not showing on the dash. It cannot be enabled with FORScan.......it has to come via an update.

Yes, it is part of the new software in the 24s along with the ability to run ProPower Onboard with the truck "off".

Both are scheduled to come to older trucks via OTA. Soon™

Just received BC 1.4 OTA update on 12/11/24 last Wednesday myself, hopefully yours arrives soon…. My defective adapter batch and its replacement, I’m hoping it’s my early Christmas gift lol, still waiting on that.
Love to have the cluster charging rate on my 23 though, thanks in advance FORD.

I’m confused if I just have lane changed text or animation. Last night was first chance to try out BC 1.4. I’ll check tomorrow.
I totally love BC 1.4 so far, BC 1.0 was garbage. Love the turn signals staying on entire time of the lane change process. Love the screen saying “basically lane change in process” It seems to work way more smoothly and activates much much faster, almost instantly on the interstate.
