EZ-PASS NY not reading on windshield

So its been few weeks i been commuting to work going through the bridge. Thats where ezpass is needed. For some reason its not reading my tag but if i drive with my hand out the window with tag it works. Is there a special film on these windshields? Has anyone had any problems with this before. I tried mounting it all different areas, but no luck. Now i gotta call ezpass to see if they can provide the license plate tag for my truck.

The Mach-E has a section on either side of the mirror to mount the toll tag. The Lightning does not. Make sure the arrows are pointed up.

Yes i made sure, i mount it either side, on dash bored tray, on speaker, below the mirror mount. Still nothing except sticking my hand out like a school kid

I have an exterior version - the kind that you’re supposed to attach to your front plate. I duct taped it to the back side of the plastic grill below the Ford logo. Works perfectly, completely invisible.

Mine work fine, also have NY EZ pass. Here is where I mount it.

That's strange. I have the rectangular one that you stick on the inside of your windshield to and it has worked fine for me whenever I've travelled from Toronto to NYC and back.

I just keep my EZ-Pass on the rubber tray that's on top of the dashboard, behind the 15" display.

How long have you had your transponder? The battery may be going dead. They don’t last forever. Also make sure your trucks license plate is registered on the NY Ezpass website. This way if the transponder does not work they still can charge you with out penalty

But even with the plate on your account its still a cash fare instead tag holder price.

I have NJ easy pass & CA fast pass on the windshield each side of the mirror. Both work in their respective areas of the country. 2023 ER March build.

I did notice theres a writing on windshield i think it said safesound. Maybe its that, idk will see tomorrow when i call.

You can call and have them make a manual adjustment.
At least they did for me in PA.
