My 24 F150 did the same thing. I went into the APIM with forscan and toggled it off the back on. Has been working sense.
No luck for me.
I went into APIM, set both WAL to disabled. Write > Ignition off/on ... Rebooted APIM, went back to APIM, Set WAL Enabled > Write > Ignition off/on > Rebooted APIM

May also be worth checking your values in the BCM.

Ok, interesting results. Checked and BCM 726-97-02 was set to 0101-0101-00-- I updated to 726-97-02 -0101-0101-01-- and restarted everything (APIM/BCM).

After restart I was back to where I started. WAL shows enabled but I was unable to toggle the audible feedback. I disabled and was back to getting the error trying to enable. I checked BCM and it had reverted back to 0101-0101-00--.

@JAXLightning

After restart you where back to where you started? Meaning it worked or not?
The Audible settings are at 726-97-01 0101-0101-01--

There seems like some issue with the software that is causing the toggle to not be able to toggle back on. I would set the toggle to on via forscan and not toggle it off for now. Unless you want it off.

Meaning it didn't work. The WAL hasn't worked since I got the truck, but the toggle was on in SYNC, audible setting was off. I tried to toggle the audible and got the error, I then tried to toggle WAL off and back on and get the error, so "started" meaning what you see in the video is the exact same thing as happened the first time I went into the setting.

" I would set the toggle to on via forscan and not toggle it off for now. Unless you want it off." which toggle? In AIPM WAL and WAL feedback are both set to enabled. I can try setting 726-97-02 and 726-97-01 to the on settings above, but I'm pretty sure it's still not going to work.

@JAXLightning , I have this same issue with my 2024 Pro. I posted somewhere in a different thread when I purchased the truck in Sept.

EDIT - Found it:
https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/walk-away-option-will-not-enable.21742/

When I was going through all of the settings after getting home, the WAL radio button was "enabled" and the audible feedback was switched "off", just like yours. I noticed my WAL wasn't doing anything, so I tried to toggle the audible feedback and nothing happened. I did the same as you and tried to toggle the WAL button to "disabled" and back to "enabled", but now when I try to enable, all I get is the "This setting isn't available right now" error just like you.

@rugedraw and @Mike G checked my info in FDRS and I don't have the module that is necessary in the Pro for WAL to work. My guess is that you are in a similar situation for the XLT. For some reason the feature is visible in the Sync settings screen, but we don't have the necessary module for it.

Try DM-ing your VIN to either of guru's above to check.

Changing the settings in the BCM via Forscan.

This was the case for the new 7G Mustang until the BCM was updated. If you toggled it off, it would stop working unless you reverted everything with FORScan to disable WAL and then renabled it.

This seems to be the most plausible explanation! Someone did reach out and I sent the VIN, I'll wait to hear back.

If you have ForScan, you can connect with that and see if an RFA module loads.

No RFA in forescan, like @antho said I thought it worked via the key fob.
When I was dealing with this in my older thread, the consensus seemed to be that I needed the RFA for PAAK and/or WAL.

If you end up going to a dealer for this, post whatever the outcome is. Maybe there is something hidden that we aren't getting to?

@JAXLightning
I just tried this too. I had all zeros and changed to the 01's.

Screen shows Activated and feedback on, but no matter how far I walk away, no lock.
