I wonder if the low Winter morning temperatures have hardened the plastic or made it more brittle. Is Your FCPS in an open or unheated space? I ask because my FCSP lives on the outside wall of my 1939 driveway (no garage)...I had heard the cover tabs on the FCSP were flimsy. Sure enough, I removed the cover this morning and one snapped off. I epoxied it back in place and reinforced all the other tabs with epoxy.
If you want to change charging amps, entering the case is the only reliable way. Ford Pass might lag a day after you enter the change if it decides to work at all.
It’s in a heated garage. So no freezing temps. I opened it to make sure the amp selector was set to 80 amps.
IIRC we may have previously covered this, but 2024 Lightnings can only charge at 48 amps, do you have other BEV's which can take advantage of 80 amps?
I was expecting the worst from some of the comments I read here. However it went fine. Its not the smoothest process, but did not have to redo it or waste hours. Completed un under an hour, maybe 30 mins. Worst case was closed out app on phone and re-opened a few times, when it looked like it froze.
