Planning a trip on Thursday, hotel I'm staying at has Tesla chargers available. Tesla app, which I have configured with my Lightning as the EV, says compatible and available for charge.

The FordPass app doesn't even list this location as an option, shows nothing there.

Which is correct? Will I be able to charge here? Do I risk doing any damage if not compatible?

First road trip in the truck, trying to cover all bases prior to departure.

Likely Level 2 chargers similar to what you have at home. May need a Level 2 Tesla adapter to charge your truck. (Not the same as NACS Fast adapter Ford has been sending out.)

Also, you may have the Filter for finding Level 2 charges turned off in the Ford Pass app or Public Charging app that is in the truck.

If it’s a destination charger, you’ll need an adapter for destination chargers; that adapter will work for all level 2 Tesla chargers.

if it’s a supercharger, then pull up the Tesla app, click on the charger and scroll to the bottom of the charging description page; it will say if it’s a NACS parter.

Note that super chargers require a different adapter than destination chargers.

it's a destination charger...I do see that.

I have the A2ZEV charger
TYPHOON PRO | NACS DC CHARGERS to CCS1 Adapter | 500A | 1000V | DC | 12 Months Warranty Ă— 1
https://a2zevshop.com/products/nacs-ccs1?_pos=1&_psq=TYPHOON+PRO+|+NACS+DC+CHARGERS+to+CCS1+Adapter+|+500A+|+1000V+|+DC&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Will this not work?

Sorry for the ignorance.
That one is only for DCFC at super chargers

The level 2 ones you just linked are what you want for level 2 charging at destination chargers.
Edit to add: The level 2 and the DCFC adaptors are not cross compatible, they are designed to only be used on AC charging or DC charging and cannot do both. I bought both of the A2Z ones as they had a nice discount for buying both at the same time.

The A2Z Typhoon Pro won't work on Tesla destination chargers.

Yes, their Stellar adapter will work on Tesla destination chargers.

Also, there are other brands of Level 2 Tesla adapters.
Some available on Amazon that you may get delivered in a more timely manner. Just have to sort out any junk ones. Seems Lectron is a brand many use here.

Awesome...thanks for the fast responses. Lectron will be here tomorrow from Amazon, so I'll be buying that one.

FWIW I always trust the company's charging station network app(s), in this case Tesla, for actual presence and compatibility and, sometimes, functioning or out-of-order status.

BLUF: go to the source, whether Tesla, ChargePoint, Electrify America or all the other charging network apps, for the best up-to-date info, as it applies for my travels.

As 21st said use the networks app first.

From there you can another app to double check, or check reviews to see if others have used it. Most prefer Plugshare for that

Fwiw, If you don't have the plugshare app GET IT!

FordPass is provided the same data directly from Tesla - it's the one-stop shop to check live charger status and availability across 13 different networks from one place - the only app that can do all 13 in one. And of course, you can also use it to pay for chargng too, so there's no reason I use anything else.

In my experience all over the country over the past 100+ K miles and three years while driving Ford EVs, the best (most reliable, most accurate) information about Tesla points was best available in the Tesla app.

Things change and evolve all the time... perhaps my info is already out of date. Would be happy if that were now true. My last long-range road trip was back in August, and I'm not due to hit the open road until late Spring at the earliest.

FordPass recently overhauled the Public Charging section to load significantly quicker, but even before it's been my go-to for hundreds upon hundreds of successful public charging sessions using FordPass since 2021 - on all of the included networks. 13 apps in 1, no folder of charging apps needed or wanted.
