Well, attempted to go on a 500km road trip in the Canadian prairies. fast charged in Regina fine, continued on to next stop 200km away and could not charge on both the two Flo CCS stations nor the six Tesla stalls. Called in to Flo got charging stations reset, still did not work.

Called road side, they were basically useless so used CAA back to the dealership we bought it at. Just a horrible experience with two toddlers on board, glad it wasn’t minus twenty.

Our daily driver has been an EV for over three years, so we are used to charging issues but this just seems different. Truck is a lemon. Just got it back from the dealership after spending a week there because of the Safely Stop Now, got the 12v and heater replaced and apparently there was a high voltage battery code coming up before I even bought (the brand new) truck.

The charging indicator was flashing red on the truck. Dealership trying to tell me that it’s the chargers not the truck which seems highly unlikely given that it’s two brands of chargers and that while waiting for the tow truck someone else used the Flo charger successfully.

Ready to initiate a buy back process.

Talk to your dealer. If it was in for service and now doesn't work then have them fix it.

If they can't figure out that dcfc and level 2 uses 2 seperate systems then find a new dealer.

Better do some research before you waste any time here or elsewhere trying to claim its a lemon. Canada doesn't have a lemon law.
So because there is no lemon law in Canada I am not allowed to say on a forum that it is a lemon, k got it, super helpful thanks.

You DC Fast Charged successfully, so, no, it's not your truck.

You might need to hesitate in making 'lemon' claims just because you've had some issue, although you really don't know what the cause might be -
I suggest the charging station/software/activation, even if 'someone else' supposedly was able to active it.

There is sometimes no rhyme or reason 'why' these issues happen, at any given moment, but, yes, it's technology.
Tesla is another story, because you don't say 'what' station location you arrived at, and whether it is actually OPEN to NACS Compatible Vehicles.

Yes, we get the aggravation, but laying 'blame' on forums like these where the rest of us enjoy the 'enjoyment' of these amazing machines is just asking for push back.

You haven't provided enough specific details to make any real claim - I suppose your dealer will say the same.

So because it fast charged once earlier, there is zero chance that it is the truck then is what you’re saying? That sounds super logical. Yes ‘someone else’ used it immediately after successfully. What is the issue understanding that? And yes the Tesla stations are open to non Tesla vehicles. Have used the same spot successfully before. I get you like your truck, that’s fantastic, but telling me that because it fast charged fine another time that it can’t be the truck now is pretty naive imo.

Do you have Plug and Charge turned on. I have had problems before trying to charge with plug and charge turned on. I have also been able to get chargers to work by turning plug and charge off in both the FordPass app and the service provider’s app.

I think you DCFC earlier in the day does put the issue more likely something to do with the next stop. How long ago had you used these same stations?
Did the Regina charge work with the same charge card as used on the "failed" stations?
Is your Plug & Charge working at other locations?

Your dealer service hasn't served you well to this point, are there other options in your region nearby?

Have tried turning everything that can be turned on or off on or off with no luck. Thank you for replying.

I would have thought the same thing if it wasn’t two completely different charging stations and providers and the red flashing ring by the charge port on truck. Ford was able to go in connected services on phone and see there were two new error codes one was just the air dam and the other was something about battery or body control. Something along those lines. Plug and charge works fine in the past yes. Used the same stations in October without issue and they have a perfect ratings on plug share. And like I mentioned, another car pulled up while tow truck was here and they charged perfectly fine.

Yeah unfortunately that sounds like some hardware issues with the truck. If it's a software thing, sometimes disconnecting the 12 volt to force a full reboot of everything can help, but if there are issues with the battery then who knows. Sorry to hear, that's a pretty bad experience.
