The King Ranch is a nice truck but I've never seen any ranchers driving them; it's a pavement princess. So is the Platinum but it's an authentic pavement princess.
Ok? What does that have to do with the seat color of the lightning? I’m just saying what they chose for the platinum seat colors is disappointing.

I agree. I wish there was optional color choice on Lightning Platinum like there is on the Super Duty truck. I selected Carmela. Color when I ordered my 2024 F-450.

The light grey color of my Lightning Platinum concerns me that they will get dirty. I also don’t know about Blue Jean dye transfer that my Expedition experienced.

Here is a picture of my F+450 Platinum interior.

I was agreeing with you and was just commenting on the ICE f150s have different options /color pallets and I would love to see the king ranch color pallets in a lightning.

King Ranch has saddle brown seats. As far as I know it's the only F150 with saddle brown seats. I was contrasting the two trucks. I like the Platinum interior. The King Ranch interior is trying to be something it's not, in my observation. The Harley Davidson F150 falls into the same category to me. In Michigan they've been selling Detroit Lions branded trucks. Same idea.

UPDATE:

After the first 200 miles driven it seems like efficiency is a little worse. Maybe 5-7% worse than our Lariat. We did the 125 trip from our house to our cabin it took 64 kWh to replenish vs the typical 60 kWh. But we had some unusual wind today so that may be some of it.

Pro power with truck turned off works well to run our two 120vac powered coolers for 1 hour before leaving.
Walk Away lock works well
We ran with both Massaging seats and seat heaters for almost 3 hours. It was great.
Truck performed flawlessly. Speed sign recognition works well with cruise control on 2 lane undivided highway.
Insurance was $50 less expensive for 6 months, than our 23 Lariat. Crazy.

note; testerday I installed the console safe, tonneau cover and bed rug impact mat from our 23 Lightning. Raising the tailgate with slightly misaligned tonneau caused a fault. The tailgate was up and tonneau cover was locked and the tailgate beeped 3 times when trying to lower it and it stayed in the up position. Oh No. I could see my first service visit coming. So I did the logical thing and POPO’d the truck. Power on Power Off. Disconnected the 12v battery fo a few minutes, reconnected it and the tailgate fault cleared. But I dI’d. have to reset the Frunk.

Overall I’m very happy with the new truck. I’m not sure it was worth the extra money, but it‘s one year newer, 1-1/2 more years of warranty left and a few nicer features features. And I beat the post tariff price increase that I expect.

After watching the State of the Union speech today I wonder if EVs are doomed.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like Ford is making progress on needed improvements.
