Take a watch here:

The Ford Fast Charging Adapter isn't just "go(ing) with another brand" but co-developed by Ford to Ford requirements.
I did notice the new Ford one says not to use in rain or snow and I don’t recall the others saying that. 🤷‍♂️

Old thread, but why did Ford go with another brand vs just sticking with the Tesla made one?

I would assume it’s safe to use the Tesla version, but which one is safer?
Tesla failed to deliver the adapters in sufficient quantity.

The Ford Fast Charging Adapter is IP67 rated (printed right on it).

I'm just going by what @VirtuallyG posted earlier. I tossed the little booklet that came with the charge adapter but it seemed to state that rain and snow was bad. It's not going to stop me, but I just thought it was interesting the Ford designed adapter said this but the other adapter(s) did not. https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...the-rain-or-snow-with-the-ford-adapter.25214/
