I doubt the election had anything to do with the decision. The capital investments are already made. The plants are being built, the machines and tooling are being delivered. Delay only extends the time Ford sees a return on the investment.
Wow. Oakville is going to idle for 2 years? They should have just extended the Edge production. Everybody that I know that has one loves it.
The ICE vehicles are being extended too. The next generation of the F150 is supposedly delayed a year. Maybe they will extend the current Lightning too.

66,667 kWh / 131 kW = 508.9
You would have to fully charge your truck, from 0% to 100%, 509 times before you start saving money with the truck that has the heat pump. And that doesn't include all the other goodies it has.
I know what I would do.
The FCSP is a good unit if all you want to do is charge at the max rate. For anybody that wants any type of reliable data, or likes to change charge rate periodically, it's not very good.
With the 2024 trucks going to a single 48 amp onboard charger for the ER battery, and it not being included...
I thought about selling mine. I only ordered it to insure I had a way to use the Tesla network on my trip to Norfolk later this month. I have no confidence in Ford delivering the free adaptor in the time frame they have given.
