We're flying somewhere for a short vacation later this year, and have to rent an ICE when we get there (remote enough the charging infrastructure is meh). Not looking forward to that experience after having our Lightning... :\
Impressive range numbers...I still don't care for the styling, but there are some good things about the vehicle, for sure. Chevy site doesn't list battery pack size, but it has to be larger than 131kW if it's getting that sort of range.
This gives me hope. My wife and I usually road-trip from the mid-Willamette Valley in Oregon to Yellowstone at least once a year (sometimes twice). With the Tesla network opening, it will make our lives much easier (ABRP already has all the good stops plotted!). Haven't driven the Lightning...
I posted this in the other thread, but figured I'd post it here as well: used TurboTax (as we have done for years), entered the EV info during the filing process, did not upload the form that we got from our dealer. Got my refund about a week and a half after filing (about normal, couple days...
Was poking around the A2Z site, and found a combo deal for the Typhoon (NACS to CCS) and Stellar (Destination to J1772) adapters. Anyone take advantage of this setup? How well does the Stellar work with Destination Chargers...
Thought this was interesting, given some of the conversations here recently.

Curious to hear your impressions. I'm torn...really want to use the Supercharger network, but my Ford-issued adapter isn't projected to arrive until June. That being said, after 6000 miles on our Lightning, I haven't needed to DCFC charged even once... :D
Last vehicle (that we traded against the Lightning (spoiler: the dealer took a loss on it! Mwuahahahha!)) was a 2020 Toyota Tundra Limited. Don't miss it at all...I was over the moon about the Lightning about 5 minutes after leaving the dealership (well, technically before that during our test...
Filed on 03/08 using TurboTax. EV tax credit was straightforward, once you find it. :D Put in the whole $7500, got it and the rest of my refund a week and a half later. Easy peasy.
Got this update this morning; truck warned me about it while out running errands yesterday after work. I just let it auto-update at 1am (per my settings).
For reference: MY2023 with July 23, 2023 order date, October 31, 2023 delivery date
Awesome; we considered one of those, but have used the same model of tonneau on our trucks for the last 13 years...change is bad, ya know. ;)
That being said, if you do an install video, maybe I can sell my wife on the idea of the Retrax... :D
Had one of these in a couple past trucks. Good quality, but with a soft roll-up tonneau, I just couldn't keep it dry enough here in Oregon. Opted for a Weathertech custom-cut mat (they call it a "tray" because the sides go up about 3") for the last few trucks.
Nice little trailer (I looked up the manufacturer's page). I'm personally hoping that platforms like the Pebble, Lightship and Airstream's EV trailer all take off. I would love to see quieter, more sustainable camping options.
I personally haven't been camping in almost 20 years, but a fully...
It was the "Share Driving Data" option that disabled the FordPass app functionality. You may need to refresh your app by pulling down and see if they disappear...that's what I did, startled me at first as I didn't expect them to go away...
I would assume (and we all know where that gets us) that it's tied to the Ford Insure option/tile in the FordPass app, if you have insurance through Ford, the truck would not need an additional ODBII sensor. But that's just a guess, because it has a lock on it and I don't use Ford Insure.
Thanks for reaching out and asking the question; never hurts to ask! :)
I'm personally leaving it on, as I want that functionality, and the data collection doesn't bother me as much as it might others. It's a very personal choice. YMMV.
