There's a comment on Reddit from someone who said they're the only wave 1 customer and that the wave 2 customer reserved 9 minutes later, so my assumption is "yes".
Something I noticed is it appears that a dealer-ordered vehicle for a customer links to a Ford Account which allows keeping up with the progress. I believe this is different than what happened with the Mach-E and Bronco where you're flying blind.
EDIT: Nevermind, I reread the notes and it seems...
At this point just assume you're not getting an invite and if you get one it'll be a pleasant surprise. Everyone is doing mental gymnastics to justify their assumption that they'll get a MY22.
Because they're reusing the body from the ICE F-150 until they perform a ground-up redesign. Or at least work on building a separate shell for the lightning.
Dealers were not allowed to make reservations for anyone. You don't seem to be reading what we're telling you. There's a massive possibility your dealer is lying to you. If you think buying things from them for the last 30 years means they won't somehow screw you over on the hottest vehicle...
That's confusing, then. You're not trying to get a Lightning like us. We put in a reservation on Ford.com from May-December. If you didn't do that, your dealer either knows something about receiving lot stock that we're not aware of, or they did/will do something really shady to make a truck...
This seems to explain it all, then. An insider connection could actually allow him to get the truck without a reservation then, just like some media people will likely have one without waiting in line.
A majority of my EV news is from YouTube. InsideEV's podcast is usually good, although some weeks it feels like they spend way too much time on just two or three main topics. It'd be nice if they had a segment at the start that did a quick rundown of notable news without commentary, then get...
Same as that other guy who just takes rumors from Reddit, this forum and articles and turns it into a video. For some reason people keep posting his videos despite none of them providing any real valuable information.
At this point if it isn't from an established channel/outlet it's probably...
I understand that, but I thought it'd more closely represent the voices that seem to be the loudest on the forums. I guess the silent majority prefer Lariat.
I've not listened to either one so take this with a grain of salt, but everything I've read/watched says the B&O system in general isn't...
Which is exactly the problem. The experience is way too inconsistent and ranges from "they've taken care of me for 75 years" to "they tried to sneakily charge my spouse $15k in markups and useless add-ons".
Any system that's expected to work like that is broken.
Not worth putting up with the bullshit dealerships pull all the time. Split service from sales, then. I don't care, get rid of the scummy sales tactics.
