Dealerships will absolutely go down swinging. I'm seeing Hyundai Ioniq 5 buyers starting to run into our good friend Mr. $10k ADM and getting angry about it.
Volvo is handling the Polestar in a pretty good way during this transition. Price is set by Polestar with no ADM anywhere and you simply...
Oh I don't think it'll be any better, haha. I'm more or less trying to see which one I can get first. My Lightning reservation was over a week past the reveal so I'm solidly in MY '23/'24.
The $1,000 deposit really put me off but in retrospect that probably would've been the better move. I've learned my lesson and will plan on mashing the refresh button for the Silverado reveal.
I don't think anyone is debating this, the point is they might prioritize ZEV states. Sending a single vehicle to most states would technically be part of a nationwide rollout.
I thought I was gonna miss B&O Unleashed by not going Plat but I've read and watched a lot of reviews that says it's mediocre at best. Most likely I'll be doing something to the sound system eventually anyway.
My guess is underestimation will be even more important on the Lightning than the Mach-E so we'll probably see Ford continue to underpromise and overdeliver.
Estimates I've seen puts Ford hitting 200k around 1Q or 2Q of CY 2023, so you're likely good until at least then. I'd start to get concerned if you're taking delivery 3Q 23 or later.
The laws do need to change. Ford can't open a Ford-owned showcase/delivery center because the dealerships have a stranglehold on politicians. And if you think dealerships will take kindly to Ford deliveries with no financial product upsell as well as a vehicle they'll sell themselves and make...
There's enough employers who went remote-friendly that I think that won't be a concern for quite some time, especially in tech. And with the omicron fears delaying or rolling back in-office plans, we probably haven't seen the last of the mass transition to permanent remote work yet, either.
On Firefox or Chrome you can replace step 3 above with pressing F12 on your keyboard as well.
I've created an image below to show what to do once you're on the network tab. Steps in the screenshot don't correspond to steps in the OP.
EDIT: I just realized there's a filter on the response tab...
