My Lighting Has arrived in Vancouver , just waiting at the rail yard to be off loaded and delivered to dealership .. Dealer said this can take up to 2 weeks .

Just got the finalize purchase email 20 minutes ago. Looks like my truck is delivered. Kinda anticlimactic now, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing it unless the trade works out. Not willing to lose a lot on my 3 month old Powerboost. I’ll go up to the dealer Monday and see what we work out.

The Canadian site shows it's shipped, hopefully you get an email and all systems will be in sync Monday morning, the ETA is not accurate that will change next week

Got mine yesterday 1/7/23. Got hit with a $5k ADM. Tried to fight it but dealer wouldn't budge. Their reasoning being that the other 9 lightnings orders that got built out of 200 orders were immediately flipped by their buyers for $15-$25K and they're missing out. I also got an early sasquatch bronco from them for msrp so I got basically two of the most sought after vehicles for $5k markup total between them. After loving the test drive I wasn't going to put up a huge stink but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.
Other than that, the truck is amazing. Acceleration, handling, fit and finish is excellent (with the exception of the front headlight gap between the front quarter panel and the turn signal) and the avalanche color was much nicer than I expected. It looks off-white in the sunlight and a muted grey like in the build photos in the shade/evening.
I was pleasantly surprised with how the truck came equipped in XLT once i finally sat in it. I've only seen demo lariats and platinums. The running boards are necessary, "leather" steering wheel feels nice (quotations because it doesnt feel like the bronco leather steering wheel, feels skinnier and hard but still nice) , 12" screen, and even the xlt wheels are pretty nice looking. The cloth seats are comfortable, the cloth isn't super soft, more durable feeling, obviously I'd prefer leather, but nice enough. And katskin the seats in a few years is always an option. Or finding two king ranch front seats from a part out.
If I had to nitpick, when the shifter folds flat it sounds fine, but when it folds back up it makes a sort of "crunchy" sound. Seems like a future point of failure in probably the worst place to have it (selecting a gear
). For now I'm leaving it up 24/7, don't really need the work surface.
Altogether I'm happy. If you asked me 3 years ago if we'd have two ford vehicles in our garage I'd say definitely not. Before I'd guess it'd be a tesla and maybe a telluride or pilot. The dealer and ordering situation is a low point for now, but I think as supply goes up, these issues will iron themselves out.
Kudos to Ford for bringing to market these great vehicles.
