Thanks @EdwinT appreciate the post. I've been on the same wave length. I'm about to take delivery of a Lariat Extended Range. Assuming the tax credit won't apply as it's over $80k, anyone have insights on how the MSRP is calculated for the tax credit? Is it the base vehicle or the total price of what I purchase? If anyone has experience at a dealer and can share their story, that would be great.

As far as I understand it would be the base price (not including D&D) minus anything that the dealer installs. I say it like this because I’m not sure if those are line items after the base price or before. I think tonneau covers, floor, mats, etc. are all installed at the dealership. I could be wrong, and also not sure how that shows on the window sticker. The IRS also could have meant only if these options are bought separate by the dealer to be added on

On NYE, my truck's status changed from "Built" purgatory without an estimated delivery date to "Shipped":

Ford CS shows the last update on 12/31 as "In Transit" and a Canadian National Railcar number... anyone know if that means the chip hold is officially a thing of the past? I've received no Built/Shipped emails yet and the lack of an estimated delivery is still concerning. With the New Years holiday, perhaps scheduling is soon to occur in the next few days?

I'm just happy to see movement of any kind -- was getting concerned I was an unfortunate build that sits in a lot for weeks/months. We'll see what my dealer's VVR and tracking shows...

Hi all. I just with ford chat today and got a rail car for my truck shipment, but those particular agent was not very friendly or helpful and gave bare minimum information compared to others I've encountered. But I did get the rail car number and based on my location knew it was a csx delivery. I found this great link on another forum to help call the csx number to give you an automated updated on the train location. I had to add some additional commas to get mine to work (comma = the wait time between the automated dialing) so now I just saved my number as a contact and just call it and the phone does the rest!

Also, my truck is in Tennessee as of 9am today. Not 100% where the unload station is but it will pass by within 30 miles of my home.

I dropped my VIN into United Road and show a delivery receipt in "GFX-ROTUNDA" which I think (based off my advanced Google search skills) means it's headed back or arrived in Dearborn, MI. I do see my dealer listed, so this seems legit?

Since I have a railcar # from Ford CS (Canadian National), I decided to try tracking via Union Pacific's system... looks like an estimated delivery of 01/09. My best guest is since two loads exist in United Road for my VIN, it's traveling back to Dearborn before being transferred and heading to my dealership out west.

@TaxmanHog does that sound right? Did I see you mention that Dearborn plant operations are closed until next week? That would align with the estimated delivery on the first leg of transport and probably why I haven't seen an actual delivery estimate to my dealer.

Reached out to Ford CS via Chat after being delayed a week. I'm awaiting shipment on Ramp 59, there is chip delay at the plant and my truck is pending an update so my current date might slip too...uugh! I never should have let my expectations be reset. I was fine with thinking the end of Jan, I guess I'll go back to that mindset.

Not sure what this means, might be a short haul from plant to staging lot for long haul train ride, once train ride is done a short haul to your dealership
