Are you guys sure that your trucks are waiting on a train? Mine sat in New Boston, MI from 8 June to 15 June and then picked up by convoy for delivery to Virginia (VehiShip Trucking Co).

It's possible it will be convoy, I really don't know for sure. My windowsticker says convoy, but I'd heard a number of people comment that theirs did as well, but it still came by train. The reason I had assumed train was the location of Ramp 5M in New Boston, Michigan is a CXS train yard and CSX serves a lot of the Eastern US. But I do know that it moved the short distance from the factory to New Boston via a Veriship convoy so could just be that both VeriShip and CSX share the location.

So……. My blend date just went from 5/08/2022 to 6/16/2022…. Window Sticker is brand new, up top where I had only R on top of Ramp has completely changed. The R is gone and there are letters up top.

I’ll contacting Ford Chat here is a bit but I fear the original truck was somehow lost, damages or whatever. My delivery dates have not changed, neither have the trackers.

At this point with interest rates and Gas Priced (CA) I’m not sure if I can wait past Jul. I’m going to really try to looks at the positives but damn

Have any of the chip holds here checked your WS for changes?

Mine has not changed in 8 weeks except to say chip hold.

I *cough* heard from a friend that having the app activated definitely does not make the waiting easier...you can see the frunk is ajar and how it hasn't moved in weeks...

Now I have some total BS information about my truck and why it is still sitting at the railyard. I called the railyard myself and the guy told me that it has been put on hold by Gena Task Force. That spelling may not be right, but that is what he said. He said it was likely Ford who did this, but why deliver it all the way to the railyard just to hold it for what the hell ever reason.

I called my dealer rep and he has no idea what that all means. He is calling his rep to see if they can make sense of all of this. He did say that is still shows on the visibility report that ETA pending final launch approval estimated spring 2022.

Anyone else in this group have anything similar to add to this? I am so pissed right now about this whole thing. With all of the other Lightnings being delivered, why is my truck on hold when trucks just like mine have already gone out to customers.

I went from Off site body shop (liner) to Eta Pending Launch to Chip Hold in the Visibility report. There was a lag of one day from what the dealer told me to what Ford customer service told me.

I can't believe there are chip holds at this point. Farley stated awhile back that the Lightning would not have any chip shortages. I guess he eating those words now.

My truck leaves Mesquite TX railyard tomorrow sometime. I really hope it is not going back via train, because that will just delay it even more.

My truck is going back to Dearborn for QC issues. I'm hoping they are going to flatbed it back so it gets there ins couple days. I'll know Sunday or Monday when I see the visibility report.

Oh damn - I thought that is what you noted a few days ago, but I truly figured that was some sort of mistake. I know some dealers don't or can't do much, but I would think in this situation they should be able to get ahold of a regional manager and get you real answers.

Truly sorry man - this sucks and is a crazy ride they have you on right now.

My dealer is great through all this. I just got my boat back from the cracked head caused by the deep Texas freeze in 2021. Apparently you can't get boat engines either these days. It took them 10 months to get it back to me finally yesterday. My dealer just told me that he will loan me a truck when I need it so I can take my boat out until my truck comes back.

The regional manager is involved. He's supposed to be getting with Ford to work out something to get this whole thing completed quickly. I'm hoping he pulls through.

Very nice, which color is it?

iconic silver, its nice and safe but I wish I had stuck with the rapid red or one of the more modern colors. It will look good with tinted windows and a black stripe

I forgot to add, Ford Chat said my truck was being shipped by Indiana Harbor Belt RR co. First Time I have ever heard of them.

I think that company routes everything through the Northwest Passage
