Great minds think alike. You already put "pen to paper" in regards to price when you checked the box prior to submitting your order. You have a lot of strength if the dealership tries to play games with an ADM not listed in your order.
My concern is with the ridiculous documentation fees. In my state, New Jersey, dealerships hide behind a "disparate treatment" defense. As a customer it is hard to challenge unless you can prove the fee is not universally applied.
I have called my dealership several times and spoken to three different sales agents using a blocked number asking a generic question about their documentation fee. I have lots of ammunition and a paid off law school loan to smack them in the face with.
Disclaimer: This is not Legal Advice
When I called the dealership to accept and process the online order, we worked together so that they filled out the "official" Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement (It's a Ford dealer form) which is signed by the sales manager to lock everything in, including doc fees, etc.
