What is the total build number people have in the upper righthand corner? I have 201, and my build was 187 out of 201.

I believe I saw people report larger build numbers for our build week. I am wondering if this smaller group of 201 represents the builds that were flagged to be placed on chip hold.

It could also just be the build count for the actual production day.

Chip hold has nothing to do with the special handling number resequencing at all, they have been doing the renumbering since the start of production.

This is a view excluding folks who did not share sequencing details.
Filter on 5/9
Sort order: Blend day---> SEQ3 ---->Total Prod Week
Original grand production for 5/9 was/is 373, minutes after issuance of all window stickers you would have seen your original xxx/373 number

Special handling re-sequencing occurs 12-24 hours later Fridays in most cases.

They split out 201 builds with extra handling, you are 187 of that subset of 201

The remaining 172 plain vanilla orders, are not sequenced as xxx/172, they hold the original values.

PS: I eliminated @romeoz because his numbers were out of whack with the rest, window sticker have been revised to the new format so I can't proof out a possible typo by me.

@TaxmanHog thank you. I am trying to see if there is any predictor factor that can be leverage to help out the later build date groups.

I was hoping to find some data point that could be used as indication of potential chip hold.

I am at a complete loss for how a truck is selected to be impacted by chip hold. It is not spray liner or tow max. It now truly seems to be a random event.

This blend to in production date lag is our best indicator that a slowdown or hold has occurred.

This chart clearly shows the event and subsequently the recovery is proceeding as the arc is diminishing, chatter in the 6/13 group indicates more improvements coming their lag could be almost on par with pre-disaster conditions `3-4 days lag

Some of y’all act like your Lightning is the only thing Ford has to build. You’re talking about a company that literally builds hundreds of thousands of vehicles. Ford does not have a personal vendetta against you, or your lot of VIN’s, or the color you chose or you decision to get a spray in liner. I’ve ordered several vehicles from Ford and this experience has been no different than the 4 others. Eventually the car shows up and they swap my hard earned cash for the sheet metal. 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

If you expect it to be “different” with Tesla or any of the others you can read plenty of forums and see it’s not, really.

Remember Saturn, the “different kind of car company.” Yea that lasted a long time…

Just my two cents while I patiently wait for June 30 -July 6 to come….
Spoken from the guy whose truck has shipped. I think you would understand the other posters frustration if your truck had been shipped.

enjoy the truck when it arrives,

I’ve ordered many a vehicle from Ford. Even in the “good times” some came fast and others took several months. I understand frustration, just like anyone else. These days there’s many reasons to be frustrated with the world around us. It’s great to have a place like this forum to vent those frustrations. But when people are so frustrated they have to be cruel or play a victim card over it… I have no problem calling that behavior out and bringing those folks back to reality. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Ford wants to move the trucks… that’s how they make money. Trucks sitting there on a track, in a lot, waiting for chips isnt their end game. They didn’t run out of chips to spite you or anyone else. They aren’t picking on anyone in particular. Yes, lucky me, I got my truck, but I could just as easily have been waiting with those who haven’t and I’d not be bad mouthing Ford over it or feeling victimized. We all knew coming into this, during a pandemic and supply issues that the wait could be long. Other than posting one post in each of the groups I follow I haven’t been rubbing my luck on anyones face. That’s not my place. I hope you all get your trucks quickly, safely and that you have many enjoyable hours behind the wheel. Hopefully very soon.

Great news. (Hopefully the few of us on chip hold are not forgotten. You would think that if your truck built almost a month after mine was able to get a chip, my truck should get a chip soon.)

Edit: I should not that you are saying there is a delay in blend and production. Not that your truck is built. Sorry for the confusion.

Yup completely random, these are trucks Ron and I are monitoring, none of these are forum member trucks but they are retail special orders, filter 5/9 build week and sorted by blend day, again hit & miss as to which are getting the midis treatment and those still waiting.

No problem…yep, I was just affirming @TaxmanHog ‘s observation…no rubbing in your face here…I feel for those of you who are caught up in this apparent chip QC issue!

I can assure you that one of those is mine. Just not a fan of sharing my VIN.

Are you saying you’re also on chip hold?

Did you Ford Pass allow you to active today. I had pushed the activate button when my mods popped, but got the error message. Tonight I pushed again as a “why the hell not” and got the pending approval message. I am hoping this means my truck has what ever chips were missing and has be set for final approval.

No, today is the second day of the “delivery window” for me. 6/21-6/27.

Good news for you on the module front.

Thanks for the kind word. My mods popped back on 5/16. I have been on chip hold since. Seems like early blend dates that are on chip hold may be seeing movement as well.
