Hamtech and Taxman Hog I just received this tidbit from someone on this Forum. Does this sound correct ?

Truck was incomplete when it came off the line (some part was missing, didn't pass QC).

It got sent to a farm upstate (parking lot).

They're going to get to it when they get to it.

Good'ish news: After this week, Ford is taking two weeks off for new builds, so they should process and ship all outstanding trucks.

I believe there are ICE F150s from early 2022 that still haven't been shipped.

Because they’ve diverted allocation to lightnings Farley clearly stated at launch.

if your are securities lawyer you would know that in order to be good with SEC he just has to ship some from every week in order to have been honest with investors and we who have orders.

several For execs made this statement. Didn’t say they were all out of chips - just says chips are a big issue.
if you are following the forums (which represents maybe 10% of all truck being produced) you’ll see guys from all build weeks are both receiving trucks while others have not.

so smarty pants, I’m build week 4/18, my truck hasn’t shipped it is still is parked in Dearborn. First delivery retail delivery was from week before mine. As well my dealer received their demo today, they also took their first delivery 6/2 from build week 5/16.
ford has their system in place, from my viewpoint, and others who are parked too - we might consider that unfair.

Because Ford generally practices last-in-first-out. I've been a victim of this as well. My truck rolled off the assembly line on 5/5 and was sitting off-site until 2 weeks ago. I'm still waiting on my truck whereas many of those built 2-3 weeks after mine were delivered weeks ago.

It's not fair, but it makes sense from a logistics standpoint. It's most efficient to roll the trucks right off the assembly line directly onto the shipping ramp while leaving those on offsite storage to wait until the shipping ramp catches up. Similarly, it's more efficient to put backlogged chips into the trucks on the line, rather than those sitting offsite until they get sufficient numbers of chips.

I'm not sure if this has a net-positive benefit in customer frustration and misery, though.

1000% what Vandy1981 said, and yes there have been instances of truck(s) leaving the factory only to discover an issue, @rlbussard can elaborate on the rest of that story!!!

I hope resources coming in on the supply side are used to get as much of the back log cleared while the line is idled for 2 weeks.

When production resumes 7/11, that they have all they need for line to rail production and any extra materials are placed ON remaining held inventory.

I received this from my dealer today.

After checking through the tracking Ford provides our dealership, your Ford Lightning is currently still in production, but was sent offsite to the Electric Vehicle Center in Michigan. They have not provided me with an estimated ETA for your order.



Just as you are receiving little to no updates, it is the same for my managers too. Your order was completed in February. With all of the delays coming from the factory at my dealership specifically, I would expect at least a 6-month turnaround time. It could be even more.



I understand you have read forums and have other contacts already receiving their vehicles, but it is different for every dealership. These are the only updates I have for you at this time. The good news is that you receive all of the email updates I do. This way, you know you are getting the updates I do.

My truck arrives tomorrow by CSX in Selkirk NY, which I think might be where they unload them into the truck carriers for final delivery to dealer.

anyone know for sure that’s what happens at the CSX Selkirk yard?

And how long does it take to get offloaded there onto the trucks?

I don’t even have my truck yet and it already has a recall. This is the recall that has been report on the site and in the news.
