Just check it when your dealer receives it.

If there is a visible defect, have the dealer take care of it thru Ford warranty service.

Under no circumstances should you take possession of it and drive it off the lot.

Once you consummated the deal by driving it off, your dealer or Ford can say it was you that caused it.

With all the pictures posted today, am I the only one who chose rapid red? I've seen a bunch of pictures posted today in several threads, all from Ford e-mails but I think mine was the only rapid red I saw!

I'm a 6/6 build week but just wanted you to know your not alone. The red is pretty good looking. Since my truck was only 40k, I splurged for the upgraded color. The best way to avoid being pulled over in red is drive like we are supposed to and don't be a donkey. Hopefully it's not to hard to keep clean.

IDK, I'm a little worried about my dealer finding any excuse in the world to not sell me my Lightning or turn around and do some 10k markup BS. I'm going to be happy to just sign and get the hell out of there with whatever shows up. As long as its MSRP.

I'm imagining leaving it for service without a completed contract and coming back two weeks later to find the truck was sold "accidently." I mean sure take pictures before driving away, but I'm definitely signing even if it's missing a door.

Northern Cali Dealer contacted me:

Said my Visibility report didn't make any sense (odd dates) and couldn't tell me anything confident about my delivery. He's reviewing it w/ the Manager. But, did state if the Train arrived in Richmond next Tuesday, he'd expect me to have the truck by end of month. Said Folsom Lake ford had better luck w/ getting trucks on trucks than other dealers.

I'm pretty confident that it'll be in Richmond by next Tuesday (tracking says this Saturday right now). Unless whatever I'm tracking is the wrong thing to track

So you can still complete the contract, and get those concerns fixed. Just be sure you go over the truck with a fine-tooth comb. When I picked up my 21 F150 (the one I am trading in now), it had a few paint chips near the roof. I told the sales guys, and he saw the same. Together we wrote up a "I owe you" checklist and agreed to repair those areas. A few months later when it got warmer out, we did the body work at no charge to me cause it was in my record. Do you what you need to do to get proof obviously, but not all dealers are out to screw people.

I will... I don't think of anything is certain... even approvals from banks. So if you see a F150L Platinum for sale in NJ, its maybe mine

In all seriousness, if the last car I bought from this dealer is any indiction, it should be a really smooth transaction.

I never knew that site existed. I have the same as you ER Lariat with All season tires. It looks like the GVWR is 8250, how are you getting over 8500?
