My original expected date was 7/21-7/27. Received an email from for stating there is a delay now expected 8/8-8/14. At least they told me. lol

At least yours is logistical! My crappy dealer, who has my truck, is telling me it will be TEN days until they can PDI/Sell my truck bc of their backlog of new vehicles.

My dealer told me 3-5 days for PDI but when I stopped by the next day it was magically done. The dealership is probably padding their numbers to not overpromise. Best of luck to you.

If it is because of an influx of new vehicles, especially near end of month here, I would think the dealer would want the highest-priced trucks to get delivered first for the $$ involved.

Yeah now they’re saying the 10 day PDI is bc mgmt REQUIRES bed liner, tint, etc to be installed. Huge eyeroll.

So I’m sitting here to fight that. Don’t need all that extra Sh*t!

Does the order track app show a vehicle move from awaiting shipment to in transit the same time it actually ships, or is there a delay before that gets reflected?

My time line
7/23 in the late afternoon ORDERTRACK.APP showed In Transit
7/23 & 7/24 the SHOP sites were intermittent with status' built/shipped
7/25 I got the shipped email, all data was consistent (shipped / in transit)
7/25 the rail car was leaving suburban Dearborn southern route around the lake.


So I'm guessing it reads updated data from a Ford database that has the loading assignment to a loading ramp, then once loaded a rail car number is loaded to VVR (only guessing as I don't have that level of access). Once the set of rail cars are all loaded and assembled for departure, then Ford shoots out an email communication.

In that case, it will miraculously appear at your dealer before any tracker knows what happened due to the data processing lag time, ( knows a thing or two about old/giant bureaucracies with archaic systems)

In tracking hundreds or trucks the Metro Detroit deliveries are always a surprise it's here situation
