There are also days when I go shopping at Krogers to buy their week old milk or eggs and wish I could just drive out to the farm and get my eggs from underneath the hens or just milk that cow.
Move out to the country :)

That’s life by me. The yokes are bright orange, the milk is naturally warm, and there’s nothing more satisfying than walking out to the pen and going. I’ve got a dinner party next week, can I get one for next Thursday? Kids! Come pick which one do you want to eat!

If @Ford is listening… An opportunity here for the new EV Division. See the Fly and Drive thread. I would sign on if a tour was included.
Could you imagine novice EV drivers picking their trucks up and attempting to navigate across country with our current charging network. Sounds like recipe for disastrous publicity for the EV industry.

Nah, they won’t make it that far. There will be a pileup 2 miles from the lot from everyone doing 0-60 launches and losing control.

And don’t give me crap about it. You can’t tell me with a straight face that if we picked it up at the same time we wouldn’t want to know which is faster. SE or ER?

When I checked this morning, my estimated delivery times had disappeared from the order page in my Ford Account. I am still in built status.

Ok. So add a day of drivers Ed and navigation by “dead reckoning.”

Did you also purchase yours through Lexington Park Ford? I’m not sure how many they’re allocated but they told me they already delivered one to a lucky soul in Southern Maryland.
No I'm little more north. We've delivered 7 at my store and 8 counting our Pro Demo.

We need to all have some patience now.

I believe we are in the midst of a another transportation SNAFU not entirely Ford's fault.

They seem to be happening in waves. As far as concerns the Dearborn plants, Ford is also trying to churn out the remaining 2022 Ice F150s and get them shipped out. At this time outbound traffic is in one of those lulls.

East and West Bound Rail Lines are limited in Michigan and once they reach their destinations they must also make the long trip back to Dearborn with empty railcars. I am sure that Rail Labor is involved in "Slowdowns" to support their point of view during the current labor negotiations.

Railroads make more money on full railcars hauling goods from ports than they do for empty cars returning to factories so they defer to making the most money.

Over the road transportation is really not much better. They have the same problems with empty deadhead rigs having to drive back to Dearborn. Here in the Midwest there is a severe shortage of rigs. With the elevated price of diesel the remaining supply of drivers just cannot make money at the per mile rate they are being paid under old contracts. So many drivers just left the industry during the pandemic because driving is a hard life to live. Younger guys do not want that life and it takes time to train new ones. I used to drive. I know. And Car Haulers are a specialized breed of driver.

There really is no simple fix for getting our trucks to us quicker once built other than to just park them, stonewall us, and wait for a ride.

One solution I have been trying is to get my dealer to bypass the system and bring my truck back from Dearborn himself. According to them, they have the ability to do that here in Kentucky (300 mile radius from Dearborn ?) and they would be paid the destination charge. My truck is also now in "In-Production" limbo since 7/16. We are still awaiting the OK from my Regional Manager who is trying to get the OK from Ford Scheduling. But maybe this is just a "Shot-in-the-Dark"?

My financing clock is also ticking with a 30 day 2.89% lock at my CU until the end of August.
From my experience I've never had any good luck with getting a Ford Rep to allow us to pick up a vehicle regardless where they we're sitting not saying they won't because I have heard of it happening. Shoot it took many many calls and approvals just to be able to pick up 5 trucks at the local rail yard a whole 3 miles from my store let alone the factory.

That has been my experience as well. I only remember ever going to the railyard but once to pick up a vehicle. I don't remember the details but it was no small task. I think we had to give them three days just to pull it for us to pick up.

So I loaded up my window sticker today, it changed.

Where it had my blend production numbers, my order and the overall quantity is different. It now states "1xx/2314"

That's not the only thing. I now have fields for "LABL" "PRCS" and "B10"

Any idea what the changes and new fields might mean?

My window sticker changed too. Not really sure why, the only thing I oticed was the top sequence number, now 715/2314.

Still no indication that anything has shipped though...I guess my delivery ETA of today, isn't looking good...

Mine now shows 342/2314. There were other changes like yours as well.
Good catch @Yellow Buddy I wonder what this means. First our delivery dates disappear and now they change the stickers.

To note, my delivery date did not disappear...still 7/24-7/30.
Did you ever pull your VVR?

Some thoughts:
- How many cars does a rail car hold?
- Maybe that’s the capacity in Area 51?

We might need help from @TaxmanHog

On another note, saw this video on YouTube today of a black Pro. I changed my order from carbon to black because of the Pro bumpers but haven’t seen one yet. And I absolutely love the way this thing looks. I like it better without the light bar than with on the higher end trims.
