Update on my end.

I decided to call my dealership just now to see if they had any information and they show my truck as "In Transit" on their end. Nothing beyond that or date of shipment unfortunately but with my portal still showing as "In Production" I'll take that update.

I just got a text from Ford that reads “…Just wanted to let you know the tentative estimated delivery date: 09/04/23 - 09/10/23.“

Watch the ETA's float in the coming weeks, it's going to push out further for folks who (unlike you) are much further from Dearborn. Western PA, Upper Ohio, Indiana could all see convoy direct deliveries to your dealers, much less waiting for train transports.

By the end of next week there will be 9,236 Lightnings on hold waiting for transports, the digg out is going to take time, we've seen it before it will be the case again.

I am assuming if your window sticker shows "CONVOY" on it, it will be delivered entirely by truck? Mine does & it is delivering to Cincinnati. I am pretty sure the Maverick window sticker showed "RAIL," since that is how it left the factory in Mexico.

8/14 build week group here, but this is the first I heard about the Rail/Convoy distinction. Apparently I'm getting a Convoy shipment to California which is a little surprising

Well, I guess that dispels my thought! Last leg is always via truck.

Yeah that is what I thought too and was completely confused. Dealer told me rail to Portland Oregon and then convoy the rest of the way. I am sure there is somebody here who actually knows the system

Another update

I managed to text ford and while they say "In production" they also give me an estimated delivery to dealership as 8/26 - 9/01.

I'm in Southern California and my window sticker said convoy. I guess I'll update if it shows up in the next few days.

My truck arrived at my dealership a year ago 8/3/2022, I took delivery 8/4/2022.

I moderate the conversations on ALL the build week threads to keep you guys informed about what's happening with the help of those whose trucks are in production currently.

All Lightning window stickers since the start of model year 22 show CONVOY.

The majority of deliveries will depart the Rouge on a rail transport, arriving at rail hubs around the nation, the last leg of approx a few to a couple hundred miles will travel by convoy haulers to dealerships.

Trucks heading to dealerships within ~ 400 mile radius of the Rouge will depart the factory grounds on convoy runs direct to dealerships.

There have been rare exceptions of long haul convoy rides, but they are for exceptionally delayed orders.
