That's my dealers proposal as well, an IOU. Others have reported the same, for the lightning as well as Bronco and MachE. It seems to be a matter of which dealers are willing to get a corrected invoice from Ford and others who just want to wait for the check back before they settle accounts with the customer. That's why I asked if anyone knows which regional point of contact at Ford made the difference. Of course your dealer could just refuse to make the call, and just issue the IOU. Ford reimbursing the dealer later is the whole basis for the difficulties were having.

Hey There. See if they can talk with Shahram at Walnut Creek Ford in the East Bay. He knows everything about how to handle these. I don't think you can shift dealers this late, but doesn't hurt to ask that as well. They've done so many of these. WC is the #1 dealer of Mach-E in the nation and getting the truck with both the private offer and 5k price protection was simple.

Almost forgot to post a photo. Here’s mine. Loving it so far. Walked out of the grocery store yesterday and there was a guy with his head in the rear wheel well checking out the suspension. We chatted for a few minutes. He was very excited about it. Got a trip up to the mountain planned for this coming weekend. Excited to see how she does. I did a launch with the traction control fully off and it absolutely lit up the front wheels. Still did a 4.6s 0 to 60 even with the tires on fire according to dragy. I’ll experiment with it later and see if I can get that number down.

Finally....

Antimatter Blue, which I randomly picked when they cancelled the Onyx color. Glad I did.

I only drove it about 10 miles to my house, but OMG this thing is quiet, comfortable and absurdly fast.

I do believe I have had a Christmas miracle. 8 days from built to final prep. As long as it's actually there. But that is fast if it went from MI to FL in 8 days!

Apparently, I have an @indubitalist situation. Got the email that truck was at the dealership. Trackers all updated. Dealership says it isnt physically there. No idea where it is now.

Spoke to Ford CS and they gave me the name of the transport company. Spoke to them, and they told me that it was on a truck and due to be delivered between 1&3pm. We shall see if I can still get it today.

My Lariat ER has been "in production" since 11/4. I was told by the dealer and by Ford customer service that it was on chip hold. I asked my dealer to contact the Ford regional manager to find out why Lariat ERs made later in November were being built and shipped and mine was not. The Regional manager came back and said the truck had been delivered to the carrier 11/12 but was on rail car delay. The order tracking does not show the truck built or shipped. Anyone else here on rail car delay? Did the regional manager just make this up? Who exactly has accurate information within this system? All of this is beyond frustrating.

6" Aires Ridgesteps. Installed them myself. Not cheap (bought from the HD), but love 'em. Even my 80yo Mom has no problem getting in/out of the truck.
