Just spoke with Ford Chat, and it turns out that my truck is awaiting parts. Good news is that I now have a rough estimate of when to pester my dealership!

Let’s hope. That’s how mine started then I asked today and was told chip hold.I was sat and waited on the chat, when I started it was 44 people. This is the info I received, though the status page still says In Production. I have factory spray in liner. So doesn't look like I'm on a chip hold....maybe.
It looks like your vehicle was received by Ramp 51, the body company, in Flat Rock , MI on September 1st. Your vehicle should arrive to your dealership no later than September 20th. You should be able to check the generic status of your order here https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking , but your dealership is always the best source for this kind of information and you should keep in contact with them for all the latest updates. Interesting...here is what I now get when I try to activate, and I got the error message before.....Looks like we all were sitting in the chat queue together. Here is what I got back:

"I show the status of your 2022 F-150 is In Production and currently located in Ramp 51, Flat Rock, MI with an ETA of Sep-28-2022. "
"The ETA you are seeing is the estimated arrival date of your vehicle to your selling Ford dealership. I am also currently showing a secondary Micro Chip At Plant On Hold status associated with your order."
The interesting part is that I was told last time that the ETA they had were for completing production. So happy for it to be the ETA for at dealer. I'll take it with a grain of salt until we it's ready for shipment.

Another thing that changed is the Activation button in the Ford app. I can now click it and it tries to activate instead of giving me an immediate error. Once the 90s are complete, i get an error message - contact us and we can help - it shows activation pending for a bit, before i see the activate button again. So there are some incremental changes....

Wish it all meant something. I’m getting itchy.That showed up once for me. Here is the flow I see now…
Interesting parts are
- the UI is a bit broken (iPhone)
- after the error message is see activation pending
- when I reload later gives me the activation button again.

Ford Chat is 50 people deep by the time I got in queue. I did call my dealer in Cuero Tx, Weber Motor Company. They did look at the Vehicle Visability Report (VVR), and I too am at Area 51 in Flat Rock MI with a chip hold. They said they could not tell if i had been to body shop and back. I'm going to guess if @Pioneer74 has his spray in liner that I might have mine too.
So it is back to hurry up and wait for the aliens to finish chip making and get them into the trucks. hahaha
I find it amusing ironic they repeat the misinformation that the dealer always has the latest updates and best source of information. Could you share your VIN by DM?No update on my Platinum from Ford, still showing same date and nothing else. Frustrating.
