Have you been happy with Folsom Lake?

No complaints, so far. They're online sales guy has been pretty responsive. No adm on ordered trucks, but once they hit the lot unclaimed they'll add adm... Similar to downtown.

I started with Harrold ford, but they would not commit to no adm. Downtown is closer to me, but never ended up getting any response from them.

I was still on harrolds message list, and once the prioritization system came out, they texted everyone they'd prioritize them If they agreed to 10k markup.

It says convoy. I have heard from others that it may still go by rail but I won't know until it is shipped. I really hope we get them trucked. Seems like they would be delivered faster. Especially with BNSF slowing their shipments through the end of July.

All CA trucks would be rail, it'll just be convoy after they get to a drop off point. For us, it's Richmond.

Hopefully since our builds are technically in the front and not parked in some parking lot, we can get right on the first train. Ford uses more than bnsf , so it's not going to be a complete standstill for the next month.

In before times, it could take 10 to 15 days on rail to make it to CA.

I have been waiting since May 19 of '21. Guess another 30 days of anxiety won't kill me. Nothing a little Cap-City IPA won't cure!

Has anyone from the later build weeks tried to activate their truck? I have an Activate Vehicle button now on the Ford Pass app. When I click it though it tells me I can't activate it yet and should try again when I take delivery. I wonder if Ford has wised up and taken steps to clamp down or if my truck is still in a 'dream state' and hasn't fully awakened yet.

My production date was 6/21 and I think by 6/23 or 24 I was able to activate. First the button comes up then few days later it will work.

Finally - modules started popping this morning!

This has been a long wait from build/blend date to modules populating !

Many more lines - haven't counted.

Now waiting for tear tag.

Im about 1-2 hours from you two. Best of luck to us, mines also convoy ramp CA84. If memory serves they carry about 6-7 full sized trucks per load. We might already have taken up 3 of those.
CA84 also man ~ So it looks like we have 4 of the 6 trucks that can fit! :)

I went to the dealership this AM to get a trade in amount for my 21 F150 Lariat PowerBoost, and while I was there I asked the status of my Lightning.

So he checked, and according to him and the status, it’s off site sitting in a parking lot somewhere. He says it could be a chip hold too, but nothing on that sites says as much. I doubt that though since all the modules popped and a tear tag has been produced.

He also said that it could be shipped already, since Fords tracking is so bad. One thing we can both agree upon though is that it’s out of Ground Effects for the bed liner.

The plot thickens. Talk about things going from famine to feast. I've ripped the earth off its axis trying to find a well-optioned F150 these past months, and now it appears I soon have this decision to make:

BlendTruckStatusCostNotes
6/17Lariat 511a Lightning ER
w/ Max Tow
1147 modules and a tear tag (beeyotch!)MSRP + Left Testicle in ADMWant it so damn bad, but am somewhat fond of lefty
3/17Lariat 502a Powerboost
(loaded, no known deletions)
"Built" 6/20; now "In Transit"MSRPWould save ~ $42K. Approx. 700mi range on a tank. Not my preference in color/sport package but would be fine for a couple years until the clock strikes Rivian or Cybertruck o' clock.

Worried that it just spent 3 months having its wiring harnesses gnawed on by rodents on a lot in Michigan. Also concerned about reliability issues with the powerboosts / ICE trucks being reported on the ICE forum.

You boys are my de facto support group and understand the Lightning fever. But the right move here is to flip the bird to the dealer ADM, take the ICE Lariat, and save the money, right?

Right?
This depends on how long you want to keep the Lightning. If long term, it is a better choice as it has a much better TCO than the Powerboost. Also factor in the federal and state tax credits if you qualify for them. Inflation is going to make the Rivian and CT much more expensive in future.

That makes 5 people on here with CA84, 6/13 week group with XLT SR all close to shipping!

Gonna be delusional and say ford planned this knowing they'd be able to get our trucks out fast and together :)

Our UP train pulls up next Tuesday. Our trucks will jump on and be on their way... And we'll hit the new dimensional portal in Nebraska and pop out in Richmond and arrive at our dealers on July 4th.
