Ford F-150 Lightning ~1 Month / 1000 Miles of Ownership IMG_2388

Good morning fellow Lightning owners ⚡ 👋🏾

I would like to share this little milestone after just about a month into owning this truck.

🙌🏾 1000 miles already 😭 — can’t believe we’ve already hit 4 digits and it ain’t even a month yet 🥹

Also, today’s was one of his most efficient days to date! Got the truck charged to 100% over the weekend (level 1 charging 🥲), drove my typically 30+ mile commute = which has been averaging 15-16% battery usage (one-way), but today?!
It only used 8% 😱 like that is crazy cool 😎

Thankfully it’s finally starting to warm up down here in Texas (65 degrees this morning) and with the preconditioning combo, it definitely and drastically improves the overall eMPG 😇 and I can’t wait until Qmerit finally get my FCSP installed.

With level 1 you're not getting battery preconditioning. Glad you like the truck!

The FordPass app will say, preparing cabin and battery for departure, even on level one. It may not “ preconditioning” to your standards. but according to the app, it’s doing something. Guessing this is what the new owner was referring to.

Envy those morning temps you've got, it was 11° here this morning.

Great first month report, but understand that initial drive after charging to 100% is unusually longer before your see the SOC drop to 99% and lower values, think of it as a bonus reserve. I did a series of 100% charge cycles Friday through Sunday morning and noted what you observed.

Continue enjoying the Lightning, you'll really like being able to top up to 90% with level-2 charging, so much faster.

Thank you very much 🙏🏾 for the advice from the legend himself @TaxmanHog

I’ve been lurking around the forums lately and seeing everyone’s responses, and this is the way. Once the Ford Promise goes through, 90% max charge🪫🔋 from here on out. 🫡

You’re approaching the sweet spot. Come May, you’ll want the kind of preconditioning of level 2.
We live in south Texas for a couple years for work. I remember when the overnight lows were in the high 70’s and days were triple digits.

🤔
I wonder how it’ll be during the summer months, since I drove it for the last stretch of winter, and the battery life was definitely not on its peak condition, especially with having to have the heater on every single drive.
Usually the seat heater would be enough, but sometimes I would need to defrost the windows and that thing is so parasitic that it sucks up lots of juice.
